This based on a sig i saw way before i was making sigs, and i though it would be awesome if i could make a sig like that. Well that was 6 months ago, and now i can.
Hmmm, well one thing I'm not to fond of is that the focal point falls right in the center of the image, I mean, it has some neat things going on, effectually, but it's rather centered.
How is that a bad thing. And it's not totally centered. Yes, the head is, but the rest of his body, with all the effects, are in the mid left.
What's bad about it? Well, it creates for a very stagnant image and it makes the image less interesting. If you don't believe me, try an experiment. Make a white slate with the same dimensions as your image. Put a black circle right in the middle. Now try the same thing, but put the black circle about 3/4 to the left... which is more interesting to look at? If you just spend a few more minutes deciding the layout of the image, it would improve it leaps and bounds. Plus, if you have the image off to the side, it gives you more room to play with more contrasts, especially scale, density, and color... (well in your case, value).
Ok you got me, but, i have been making sigs all off to the side, and i wanted a center focal for once.
