What Happened to Zombies?Origanlly in Halo 2 Zombies was a gametype where you had to hide from the zombies and not get infected it wasn't about killing. It was pretty much a hide and seek game. I'm not putting down the new zombies game but I think Bungie should bring back Halo 2 zombies. I'm not sure how the scoring would work but it would be alot of fun to bring back the challenge of finding awsome hiding spots on all the halo 3 maps. EXACTLY!
Dont we have a ton of infection games we play? There is even a infection that is just there, not custom made where all you do is hide I believe. Im not sure what your talking about if I didnt just prove my point.
Yes there is a Halo 3 gametype called "Hide and Seek" but it is still centered around Killing and getting points. In Halo 2 it was based on who could stay hidden/alive the longest. (that's where "Last Man Standing" came from)
In last man standing, you have a giant carrot on top of your head. No point in hiding. But anyways, if there really isnt a Halo 3 game like that, just make your own real quick. Problem solved...I think
In Halo 2 there was no carrot because it was a custom game. In halo two there was no Zombies gametype. It was a variation of jugernaught (I think)
wrong... Halo 2 "zombies" was a team slayer variant where if you were killed you had to go to green team which resulted in many errors Such as people not changing to zombies, going back to being humans or zombies using pistols. Its apparent that you don't know what your talking about.
But on Halo 2 zombies i killed the zombie? Halo 2 zombies and Halo 3 infection is pretty much the same but without the retarded people who wouldn't change team but it "glitched" or some **** like that ..
yah, i still hide in halo 2 vista zombies games, but the douchebags who dont change sometimes **** it up.
No. All the humans just went into Room 4 in Foundation and pushed crates and boxes in front of the entrance to blockade against the zombies. The zombies could easily tell that the humans were there.
I think his problem is that Zombies has just changed drastically. In Halo 2, it was just no shields Shotguns + Swords Team Slayer variant. That was it. In Halo 3, it has become Super Fast Zombies, Super poweful Zombies, Camo Zombies etc. What I think he's asking is why does nobody play the original?
Because in the original, the zombies actually can win. Who wants to let the zombies have a chance when you could just play your GREAT NEW GAMETYPE where zombies die in one hit, letting you camp in a corner? /sarcasm
Haven't played much Halo 2, but I'm pretty sure you could just edit "Infection" to make it how you want it. As for matchmaking, I don't know. As I said, I've never played it on H2.
first off, in halo 2 it was BR or carbine +swords. second, the reason it worked on halo 2 is there was no forge. it worked on district and headlong, because you had to find your own hiding/camping places. in forged infection, you usually just sit at the top/bottom of some house or buiilding, and sit in a corner where you can fire 1 smg while reloading the other continually with infintite ammo. in halo 2 you actualy had to work for your zombie kills. sure, it was easy at the beginning, but once the zombies get half the people, it turns into a challenging game. in halo 3 infection, you just keep shooting all the time. theres no challenge. thats that. but, if you did halo 2 zombies on halo 3, people wouldnt like it. they are too immersed into the halo 3 infection variants.
From the comments i hear its halo 3's hide and seek... so why complain? And that carrot thing, just disable it
QFT Anyway, why don't you just download AZN's infection gametype. Its almost exactly like Halo 2's zombies. I can dig up the download link if you want me to.
lol no thats more like halo 3 zombies, in halo 2, zombies at first was pistols +swords. Then a good amount of players started to switch towards shotguns b/c pistols wounded up being a bit too powerful. Very few people used the BR in h2 zombies b/c of how powerful it was. The people that did use it were usually younger than 10yrs old and had fun killing the zombie easily 50000 times in a row. Also, pretty much the very first map for zombies in halo 2 was Foundation. Then it started to spread onto the other maps as people got bored with the classic foundation zombies
Correct. I used to play zombies on foundation with a group of friends. I believe we always used shotguns. But foundation was awesome because if you did it right, you could move crates to block the rooms and could last for quite a while. We always set match times to an hour trying the see if the humans could last that long.
I got on H2 the other day, but I didn't see infection, or Zombies. Anyways, Infection isn't necessarily just Infection anymore. It's changed a lot over the last year into all sorts of different themed games. Kind of cool, huh?
