    Well hell, I was bored of Halo for a while. Then I went t Bungie.net and found Sandbox... forgegasm... ewww. For those who don't know I created Dog-Fight. So, I thought, this will be perfect for Dog-Fights gameplay style. A Dog-Fight in Sandbox, Gimme your ideas. I want to make this Dog-Fight absolutely perfect. Any suggestions, Suggest em... just remember to make it legible! (I will note everything)

    EDIT: We've covered some spawn killing issues, but I'd like it if you guy's went nuts with these ideas, I need new, crazy, out there ideas as well as smart ones. Oh and look at the Dog-Fight post I already pasted it but, HERE, LOOK AT IT BEFORE COMMENTING!!!

    you mean a relic remake on sandbox? sounds interesting. i thought oyu meant like a banshee dogfight

    ... What?... OH! I did mean that. I messed up the link with another map of mine.... Fixed! Now look at it.

    I believe I have a simple solution to that, if you have any ideas as to how to fix that problem tell me, you never know. ( And yes I've noticed the two different Hornets, it's better than just two!)

    The only suggestions I can think of is to try to stop spawn killing because once you have two people on your team looking at both bases you litterly have the whole game wrapped up.

    But I do think that dog fight would be nice on sandbox. Also has anyone noticed the list of items on sandbox because there are two different types of hornets that are placeable

    There was an idea going around in the Sandbox thread about a Vehicle only CTF game where you die if you get off your vehicle. Try to find that (it's probably buried in there somewhere) and start brainstorming ideas.
    I was a fan of your dog fight map but, as eguitar said, the spawn killing was an issue. Try having spawns in a camp-free place with multiple teleporters going out. That way it will be hard to kill every member going out of the base.

    Make an inside to your bases. On the outside is a vehicle platform, with one of your scorpion guns you used on the Avalanche dogfight map. You can't go back in the base once you leave via some shield doors with some grav lifts pushing outside the base.

    Mmmm... those both seem a little... "minigame-ish" I Do like the inside to the base's idea though. Thanks.

    Nothing big, just they way you describe how the players spawn. I really wanted it to feel more like a regular game. (Maybe Minigame-ish wasn't the right way to say it.)

    Nice map and nice fix for the spawn-killing. You should make the map in the skybox on sandbox but put some structures in the middle so the tanks cant just shoot across the map.

    I see what you mean, like getting away from the whole competitive vibe you want to get across.

    This would be cool, cause you can also have guys on the ground with rockets. And hornets can be used to maintain the hill.

    Exactly!... nothing much more to say.

    Well ya, that's how the originals worked out.

    That's just it, I don't know if the tanks will work on this one. I might not build it in the Sandbox skybox. I'm really hazy about it.

    I know, that's what I had planned to do, But the map may be to cramped for that.

    What if you put the tanks on there, but used objects to immobilize them, so they were like AA cannons?

    Bungie thinks their is going to be a lot of remakes on Sandbox. I know the first remake I'm going to make is Boarding action. I once made one on Foundry but one I ran out of room and two I ran out of money and three I ran out of objects. It was an amazing map though.

    I was involved in a discussion on the sandbox threat about something just like this. Figured you'd need to build two hangers for player and vehicle spawns. Someone mentioned that you might get people camping the roof. Not sure how effective it would be to camp there, but idk.
    With the banshees and two kinds of hornets, you can have 8 people in the sky at one time. So if you were planning for more than that you might put an immobile tank like someone said.
    The gametypes thought up were king of the hill, slayer, and possibly assault.

    Well each of the Hornets has 2 extra seats that you can sit on. So you could have 2 people in Banshees and 3 people on each Hornet, which adds up to 8. I don't think camping on the roof would really matter, if you made it into an objective gametype, instead of just slayer. Just like your Dog-Fight maps, it would be Koth, so there's no reason to camp on top of the "hangar". I was also thinking that turning this into an assault map would work very well, as each team would attempt to destroy the other team's hangar. I think that was me that said the immobile tank, but I said an immobile Wraith, which if I remember right you also had a wraith on your Dog-Fight Freezing Skies map.

    But it's not a remake... it's The next Dog-Fight that I will make. It's just on Sandbox. And since the first two (Sand-trap and Avalanche) not to mention PingPongLegend's spin-offs on Valhalla and Construct, had their own specific feel. Well I just want to follow that trend and make it unique and fresh.

    P.S: I thought of making a Boarding Action to, but everyone and there grandma is going to make one so I won't bother.

    Hangers are a must for this game, Although I haven't seen anything about "roof-camping" I Will take note of it. As for vehicles, I plan to use every flying vehicle. Tanks are a MAYBE.

    P.S: The game is KoTH, I'm not going to tack on an unneeded CTF or Assault variant like I did on Avalanche. (If I do, I will make sure that they are fun first.)

    No, on Freezing Skies (Avalanche) I did not have any wraiths. Everything else seems to be explained.

    I thought there was something on top of each of the bases on Freezing Skies. Was it a Scorpion then?

    Great idea for a map, hoping you would make this. Have you got a Mythic code?
