I've been trying to work out how people get there Theatre films or any video from Halo3 onto the internet/computer. It's very confusing and iv'e heard people say to use a "CaptureCard" which i dont kno wat that is. So if someone can take me thru the steps on how to do this it would be very helpful =].
One way is to use GeeVee.com.....but it takes about a week per video to upload...you can only upload one at a time....AND, it is very often down and not functioning. A "Capture Card" is either a card in your computer or a box you attach with a USB / Firewire cable that will accept the video and audio outputs of your Xbox, Home theatre system, or HD signal. Keep in mind, if you have HD, you will need an HD capture device, the regular one will not work. These usually (not always) come with some sort of video editing software which will convert the captured data to several different formats for upload to Youtube, Putfile, etc. It basically works like an old fashioned tape recorder...you turn on capture and play your game or run your film...then you can edit and add music before publishing it in a format you can upload.
I have a post on how to upload your videos to GeeVee http://www.forgehub.com/home/index.php?topic=4713.0 It does take longer but it a good alternative to buying a Capture Card. If you've got the money, I'd buy the capture.
I just bought my capture card, it's a Dazzle DVC Platinum, if you'd like I could record them for you and then e-mail them to you or something.
