Sandbox Idea ER1C0 Okay, I have an idea for how to deal with the overpowering forces of the Sandbox maps that are for sure to come: So we know that Sandbox will be very good, but maybe too good in a way. This way is that other maps will be almost nonexistent as long as the Sandbox fad is alive. I propose that Forgehub adds a new Sub-Forum dedicated to the works of Sandbox. This is kind of what I'm thinkin': -Click on Forums -Click on Halo Forge Maps Then right here there would be something that would divide the Sandbox maps from all the other maps. I'm not quite sure what, but I think that can be sorted out in only a small amount of time. . . . So, what do you think?
That's stupid tbh. Does this mean we should have had a sub forum for Foundry? And if not, should we now make one? I mean there are wayyyy more maps in Foundry than any other map at the moment. What about the maps made on Blackout that get drowned by the Foundry maps, etc... This would just make things more confusing... Let alone unnecessary.
Dems da breaks? If it's a good map, it'll get noticed. If it's crap it wont. If he really cares about wanting people to like it, hold off for a couple weeks? Same thing happened when the Leg DLC came out, but no sub-forums was made for them. I mean there's plenty of good Blackout maps, I can think of an excellent one made by Mallet. Not to mention all the really cool Avalanche ones. Still, no sub-forum. Foundry maps were still being made and posted, and the good ones were still noticed. Waste of space, unnecessary.
Just use prefixes like there already are, for example in screenies you have "Staged, action" etc. I'm sure there are already prefixes for "Blackout, Foundry, Avalanche" etc, so it would be easiest to just add a Sandbox prefix and then you can still distinguish the maps. As for your map being swamped by Sandbox variants, you'll just have to create a map and post that's good enough for people to want to stop and post on, as everyone always has had to do?
Reynbow pretty much summed it all up. :lock: Adding an entire new sub-forum purely for Sandbox is unnecessary. Additionally, also as Reynbow said, if a map is truly great it'll get the attention it deserves.
