The title may be a bit misleading, but not too much. Well, I have a game called "The Last Stand". But in that game, there is a place where the zombies spawn, and dumpsters fall if the gravity lift gets shot to block the zombies. That gives the humans time to explore the map (45 seconds) until the gravity lift spawns, and then the zombies are able to roam free. I have a picture that will really help you if you don't understand, but with no idea how to upload it. Please help on that. If you have ideas, explain it, and if you have a picture, that would be entirely helpful (not necessary).
Well here's a link on how to upload a picture. It sounds like a good idea and the grav lift might encourage camping (the humans wait until it come back and shoot it again). Wouldn't it also be easier just to have it blocked from the start and then after 45seconds have a grav lift spawn, which would remove the need for a switch. Edit: I see the game and map on your file share but there are no pictures. Question: What is the traits of the zombies and humans? This idea has potential but looking at it you could use a switch using an idea I just though of ( I'll try and draw a pic on paint) but it still might be easier to do the above suggestion.
Well, the thing is, I want it to be the humans can search every so often, from the turn of the switch. The point of the game is kind of like a arcade game. The humans stay at the base until the zombies are blocked off, look for weapons, and get back in time.
Okay I think I get what your saying. Below are my paint pictures. I am a little rusty on switch making so step three is lacking how to actually make that happen (it's just a guess at what you want to happen). The switch making thread tutorial is Here. and the zombies come out
Does the grav lift respawn every 45 seconds? If they don't you could simply have stairs appear after 45 seconds which is more reliable. If you want the switch to keep repeating then I would keep it as simple as possible, which seems to be what you are doing. There are just some small things I would suggest. Don't place the grav lifts in the pathway of the zombies as they exit. Instead of shooting the grav lifts to destroy place fusion coils next to them so they blow up easier. Gameplay wise I would suggest having multiple spawn zones at different points in the map so that the humans won't camp one entrance point. This will force humans to run around the map.
Vinyll Hippo got it exact. I want to figure out a switch that lets the grav-lifts to push up a dumpster, but at the same time, be able to be destroyed, then respawn at a pre-set time.
The problem with Vinyl Hippo's plan is that the powerup is too close to the zombie spawn. This is another idea: 1)Make the zombie's original spawn starting point only. 2)Make a respawn point for the zombies somewhere else. 3)Make the grav lifts at the starting point 45 sec, then make the zombie respawn grav lifts 120 sec, 180 sec, etc. Hope this helped.
This might work but it is possible to make a switch that uses a power up far away (I think). Like I said above I am very rusty on my switch making skills but the forging site H3Artificer is devoted to switches so they might to be able to help more.
