-Credit to Shock theta for coming up with the name Welcome all to my very own forge contest. Unlike most contests, this one has a twist. As a forger you will need to recreate a map or level from another game, not halo. This would require skill, patience and a good eye for detail. Each map will be played competitively so choose wisely. For examples of past creations look here Rules: Must be on Foundry. Any forging tricks, besides modding, can be used. If working together please limit to two people. Do not use someone else's map. All maps must have not been completed before Feb 1st 2009. The contests will end March 28th You must post a picture(s) of the map your recreating in order to receive points on accuracy. Prize(s): All winners might have the chance to be mentioned in a FH update 1st place: - A video for there map. - A video for another map of there choice - A custom userbar - Bragging rights. 2nd Place: Custom userbar - A video for there map - A custom userbar - Bragging rights 3rd Place: - Custom userbar - Bragging rights What forgers will be judged on: Accuracy: Does your map look like the map or level you designed it off? Keep the look alive and you will score high here. Enjoyment: Does your Remake play as good, or evan better than the original? Does it make us want to not even bother with the next map and just play it again? If so then your map will do well in this area. and More.. All submissions must be in by 9:00am GMT on March 28, 2009. Any submissions that do not follow the rules will be disqualified. Judging will take place over a period of five days or so. The results will be announced after judging has taken place. I see what you did there, this sounds like a good idea. I'd love to try and remake Temple from 007 Golden Eye. To bad I am working on other maps and I'm a lazy forger. =\
I would love to give this a go. What if we don't have a capture card and we can't get the pictures from the original map. Also a custom user bar means a custom title right. Glad to see that you hosted this it is a great idea. Off to wikipedia to find a map to remake.
No. If he meant custom title then he would have said so. --A custom user bar is a little bar like thing that you put in your sig. Meh, do the Mansion from GoW 1. So does it matter if you do a mini game or casual map? You caught me at the perfect time for this, as I'm working on my **** Zombies map with RivalMass.
It doesn't matter, I was looking for some competitive games on remade enviroments but mini games/ casural would be nice, it would add to the feeling, even though I wasn't a big fan of cod waw **** zombies, i hope you perfect it. good luck. I can't wait. p.s thanks again Vorpal
Hmmm, I might try my hand at this too, though I don't really care for the prizes 'cept the braggin rights. Anybody every play Red Faction 2? I'm thinkin of the Warlords map they had. That is like the best fun you could ever have in red faction 2 if you just wanted a major killfest...
