I hear you don't like Copyright Yeah that's right, I'm talking about Copyright Infringement. What does copyright actually mean? Copyright-The legal right granted to an author, composer, playwright, publisher, or distributor to exclusive publication, production, sale, or distribution of a literary, musical, dramatic, or artistic work. And so what does Copyright Infringement exactly mean? Copyright Infringement basically means that somebody uses the 100% exact copy of that song, video, or whatever it may be that a person is using. If you uploaded a video on Youtube consisting of copyright material it will be up for deletion or be put on mute if it is a song. Lately over the last couple of months Youtube has been cracking down on Videos that are copyrighted. And it's pissing me and millions of other people off over Youtube and the internet. One of the major groups that is enforcing this is Warner Music Group. A lot of big name music groups and solo artists are under contract with them. So you know Metallica? A lot of there videos have been removed and now they just post videos saying go to their website instead of Youtube. Also any music that is under the Warner Music Group License has been deleted from Youtube. I myself have had 15 total videos removed within the last couple weeks. Also many Big Rock Band/Guitar Hero Channels have been suspended(Banned) and Tons of RB/GH videos have been removed due to the fact that they make up a lot of the copyright videos. And Since I enjoy making videos, lately this has been just pissing me off. So yeah have a fun time trying not to upload copyright material. Trust me in my opinion some day these people at Youtube will have the place running just as the slogan says, "Broadcast Yourself".
Yeah, this has really been pissing me off lately, especially with RB/GH videos. It really discourages people from putting videos up. I really don't see why they think it is a bad thing, since nobody is selling the music or anything, and most of the bands will profit from the publicity anyway.
And basically the only people posting machinima now is Machinima because they already go through copyright stuff. And a lot of parodys get pooped on, youtube is going to fall apart if they keep this up.
It's what you call Copyright my friend. When you get the message if you get a copyright notice, they basically say we really don't care you uploaded copy right infringing material and you can't do anything about it. And I love the fact that if you put copyright music in your video they give you the option to choose from their non copyright music. And It truly is NON COPYRIGHT music, what I mean is no one, absolutely no one has heard of the music they let you choose.
Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I was watching some drum video of a hard-ass metal song just a couple days ago, and then it played some light jazz in the background with no words and about five repeating notes. I lawled.
Smeagle I think I should mention you in the Op. No maybe not. But If anyone on here knows of Ibiteprettyhard, his account just got deleted this morning. If you don't know him, he is one of the best RB Drummers and he had like 200 Rock Band Videos and his account got deleted without even being notified.
You think that's bad? What is soon to be brought into effect in New Zealand. ( hardly anyone even knows about it yet) is new internet laws. If you download anything that is copyright. Your Internet is cut straight away, no exceptions. Say I download a file that someone posts here say.. A sound clip of insane snoring. But it is acually a metallics song.. There goes my Internet for the next year. (my parents Internet) Not only that... If someone ACCUSES me of downloading copyright material.. My Internet will be cut. No questions asked. It's ridiculous.

God damn the future looks grim... I had a feeling this would happen some day; where our lives would be getting more and more controlled. Slowly our lives are getting taken over. Let's look at it... Suicide is illegal, not wearing seat belts is illegal. Highway and freeway cameras. Now this? What is next, will people own our genes? Oh wait, that has already happened too! That is right folks, people have patented genes; where that means if science finds a gene that can be extremely beneficial, and somebody owns the copyright, then these scientists are SOL
Oh Mastar on a more serious note so would this only apply to downloading things not viewing things? If it is viewing things that would be incredibly harsh, imagine going on Youtube.
Actually i found an awesome little law in my media class that says your are legally allowed to use 30 seconds of any songs in any video regardless of a copyright.
Says who, I got a video removed that had about ten seconds of a song. It probably is because the song is from a band that is licensed by the Warner music group.
Woah that rockband **** is bad business man, that's how I decide if I'm downloading ****. I don't want to download a song if it doesn't loo fun..
chris if you know who Jarett is or whatever his name is. Odds are in my opinion he will be taken down sometime soon too. If you don't know who he is he is the guy who started making videos on Rock Band for the purpose of other people to decide wheather to get them or not.
What!? Oh that sucks! I loved watching his videos. Are you sure you're not thinking of Npean? Oh wait, Npean does DLC mostly for the guitar charts, and Jarr3t (I think) does it for drums. Alot of people would be pissed if either got deleted.

YouTube - IBitePrettyHardSH's Channel But yeah, now what some of these people are doing, which I will probably never do, is they mute like the first minute of the song or whatever and then they let the rest run. So technically it is not the same, and it gives you a better chance of not being deleted.
