I've read the forging 101 over and over again, and I mostly understand it, but when I try in foundry to make a box blend in with the geography of the map, it starts to go crazy and is unaccurate, expecially when I try to put one in the wall. I don't know if this is the right section on the fourms for forging help, but can someone please explain it to me here or come help me ingame?

Yes it is a crazy and inaccurate glitch and it often takes a couple of attempts to get it where you want it. What exactly is the problem though? Are you managing to get it in the wall?

If you don't know, you should save and quit while holding onto the object once its started going crazy and inaccurate.

Especially when walls are going in at an angle, this glitch is a nightmare to do right. What I do is just give up and make the walls at an angle to conform with the map geography.

You also could have posted in the Merging with Map Geometry Forging 101 Article thread for help.

It's best if you line both sides of the thing you want to merge with immovable objects so the thing you want to merge won't run away (literally).

Yeah, pretty much the only way to do it is to make sure it is IMPOSSIBLE for it to move ANYWHERE but into the wall. That means from the top, from the bottom, from both sides, and the pushing block at the back. Really its the only way, and its still innacurate, but alot better than doing it without a guide.

If you really can't do it, just try to have someone who can do it for you. That works best :p

Also, it's not map geography, it's map topography.

Please dont post something like this when you have no advice to give. That is why no one likes you.

Anyway, it is a PAIN to try to merge things like walls though possible

Set down a wall surround it with double boxes then delete the wall and set everything not to spawn at start. then go to that area and in the center where you deleted the wall, spawn walls and place them on top of each other till you get your desired height. Then place a double box on top of those and set it also not to spawn at start, delete the walls, set everything but the newly placed double box to spawn at start then go and place your wall in the gap in the middle that is surround by double boxes and wait. Then the top box spawns your wall glithches into the map geometry and you save and quit and come back. DONE.

I did't have alot of time to type this so read it a couple times and do each thing step by step if you dont understand.

    Harsh... lol.

Anyway, what i do is place the object normally, surround it by boxes so it can fit righ tinto the space, delete the box, and then put the box that will push it where you want. The merged box will then be perfectly allaigned. ;)
