The Fortress Created by superMATTsuper Fortresses were common in the middle ages, with towering walls and battlements and towers. 2-8 Players _____ Description: This map was designed for all game types, though particularly with one-sided objective games in mind, such as one-bomb or one flag. The map is divided into two by a large wall, with a gatehouse. The wall has two staircases on the defenders side of it. To get on top of the gatehouse, jump on one of the doors on the wall, then up to the turret, BR and SR! The attackers have large amounts of cover, as well as extra equipment and two watchtowers with SR, accessible via teleporters in their bases. The defenders have a 'stable', where their vehicles respawn (NOTE - all vehicles spawn after 30 seconds). The defenders main structure is the castle. It is possible to access the upper levels by jumping onto the garbage bins. Enjoy this map! It's my second one... _____ Attackers Base Defenders Base Download The Fortress
it's a start but it can be a lot better i know ur new but it can be alot better. this map is not realy disigned for all game types just the one sided gametypes you need more pictures i can not give a a real rating but what i can see 2.5/5
I think you could have made this a lot better, but hey, it looks cool. The two towers could have been placed a lot farther from each other, or maybe have a bridge connecting the towers. At least that's would I have done. And fix the design. Other than that, it looks enjoyable. And a tip: Remove the powerups.
From the pic's i can only see one way in and that's through the main gate, maybe you can put in a part of the wall that's broken or a secret tunnel in. It make's the game better if you put multiple ways in.
Fixed. OP: From what I can see, this map is not very original. I'm sure you are already aware of this, though. I can see that your map has some forging skills, such as interlocking, so I know you took some time to make this. I would suggest that you take some time to make this map have more of an "original feeling" to it. This map has potential and I hope you can achieve it. Please, add more to your post. Really, if you have nothing decent to say, don't say anything at all.
The map just seems a little bit too open and plain. If you added some cover and spiced up the bases, I'm sure this would turn out great. But, for now I'm going to have to give it a 3/5.
okay map interlocking is very good tho but the over all map is not so good also people get mad when people take photos when your in forge idk why but yeah not so good maybe work on the map like get it tested 2/5 keep forging tho
Well I see what you have done here. Starting out this map is fairly simple in design, and although it might not have a certain flare to attract its simplicity may yet work. Albeit the fact that many people seek outstanding aesthetics bar none to forge pros, I think you'll find that some of the most innovative forgers are those who find the brilliance in simplicity. The map looks good, playable and durable. Your forging isn't over the top but everything works, all is in order and everything is straight. Really I might suggest perhaps for a future works to make something using more of the space of Foundry available to you. Although cutting Foundry in half can be a great idea it can also limit things. Maybe try a something with more walkways and ramps at varying heights. Maybe make more enclosed areas and hallways. Cut off lines of sight, open them up, play around and make things interesting. But this, this is a good start. Simple and solid are great for a good foundation for later works.
this seems great but if you came up with a great qualitie gametype that would be pretty cool and some vechiles i cant see any so maybe like an elephant or saomething that would be cool
Do you realize that not only did you fail to read anything but you suggested adding an elephant. A vehicle not placeable or present on Foundry.
OK, thanks for the replies, everyone! From what I can see from the replies, I need to be more original, get a better design for better gameplay (add more entrances and exits, more cover, open areas and enclosed areas), more fluid movement available (ramps in the castle, multiple levels, etc and maybe use a bit more of foundry? Thanks again for all the replies (didn't expect so many, to be honest). Check my first map, too - The Rig (link in sig). Thanks! superMATTsuper
it looks cool, but a working gate and some aesthetic structures as well as some cover could be added. pretty good 3/5
Yeah, thanks for the reply. Keeping in mind that it was my second map, and that I wasn't and still am not all that technical. Still, I'll keep the idea of a working gate in mind for future maps. A lot of people have commented on the use of space and cover. superMATTsuper
