Ok so many of us think that to geomerge an object, you need a pusher such as a door or a window panel, well ive accidentally done this and wondered why it happened, so after many long minutes of thinking I give what I belive is the reason,
You see when I was messing around on foundry; I accidentally pushed the man cannon under the map without the use of doors, and then I wondered would this work on any map, and to what extent. So after may failed attempts of recreating what I had done I ramped it up and used a double open box instead of man cannon. Anyway the following tutorial will show you how to geomerge on rats nest and with the same concept it should work on all other DLC maps.

How to merge part 1 link:
First you have to place the object (duh) but it needs to be immovable, (ex double box open)

How to merge part 2 link:
Secondly you need to plaster the bottom with teleporters some what like the pic

How to merge part 3 link:
Thirdly, for an open double box, you need to put teles like shown
    [IMG]

How to merge part 4 link:
Fourthly, you need to place other immovable objects on the lower teles to act as the pusher

How to merge part 5 link:
Then you just force spawn the object being pushed and then double tap the A button on it and delete the pushers, and teles and there you go, a merged object without using doors or window panels(also if it starts to lag really bad, look away from the object)

How to merge part 6 (comparison) link:
Here is a comparison pic, to the left is the merged box, and to the right is an unmerged box

I hope that this guide helps you all and pushes forgehub through into the next generation of forging.

Ps, if you have any questions pm me and ill try and clarify the concept to you.

Yay, I started a sig trend. Well, while this was a very simple idea, I'm surprised no one thought of this earlier! This could help out majorly with future maps. Does the same idea work with pushing it sideways.

Many people already know how to use this. It's not new. Good to show how, though.

yep i find this way much better for mass merges, it pushes the object further and quicker well done on figuring out the physsice behind merging, some just think the door is magic.

ok i realize that this is relatively old and has been known by lots of people but as far as i know im the first to post a guide on how to do it. and i will change the color altho i myself use forgehub x.
also to megathumbs, it should work with geomerging stuff into walls but i havent tried it yet and im thinking it would take lots of save and quits to do
