Being a huge filmophile (and future film school student), I'd like to see some more movie discussion around ForgeHub. So, I thought I'd make a thread specifically for movie discussion. Get discussing. My favorite movies of all time? There's too many to name, but if I had to... 1: The Shining 2: Psycho 3: The Blair Witch Project 4: Vertigo 5: A Clockwork Orange
My favorite is always changing, so I cannot really say. As of this moment, my favorite film is Slumdog Millionaire. The writing, direction, acting... everything was so seamlessly perfect in my opinion, might I add the score? But it has honestly been awhile since I have started commenting on the cinematography while watching a movie. I really need to check out Anthony Dod Mantel. However, one that I will always love no matter what, would have to be Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi. The movie is quite good, but when you learn about how it was made and everything, it makes it that much more amazing.
I've a giant list of favorites, but my current favorite movie is split: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 12 Angry Men
That movie is god awful. To say it's a movie you can only watch once is a gross understatement. I payed $10 for it and I regret it. It's an ordeal in itself just to sit through it. I don't know if I can rank my top 5 off the top of my head but without a doubt, my favourite film of all time is The Dark Knight. I too, like Sarge, have a long list of favourites. Some others I really enjoyed: The Wrestler, Slumdog Millionaire, The Prestige, Batman Begins, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Iron Man.
I'm not sure I could list favorites, but just to throw a movie out there, anyone seen The Boy In The Striped Pajamas? I really liked it, but it got mixed reviews. Some I really liked -The Dark Knight -The Prestige -The Illusionist -The Great Race (old but awesome movie) -Wall-E -Toy Story -Finding Nemo -Yellow Submarine (I dunno what it was, but I just, as the Blue Meanies would say, hated it) -Star Wars: Episode V -The Godfather I still need to see Benjamin Button, Slumdog Millionaire, Pineapple Express, and The Wrestler.
Yeah, it's pretty good I guess. I mean, I've only seen it twenty times. I'm going to watch the Illusionist some time this weekend. As well as 3:10 to Yuma
Has anyone one seen the movie "Brick?" It was an Indie-ish film that took a spin on the classic film noir by "putting 1940's and 50's language in the mouths of modern teens."
We're watching The Shawshank redemption for English next week. I'm yet to see this movie, according to imdb.com it's the greatest film of all time.
IMDb Top 250 According to imdb the top ten movies of all time are: The Shawshank Redemption The Godfather The Godfather Part II The Good, the Bad, the Ugly The Dark Knight Pulp Fiction Schindler's list One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 12 Angry Men Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
well, that list is sorta not good at all... say what you want, but the Godfather movies are boring as ****.
