    Description:

    Departure is an asymmetric map which is designed around the use of vehicles and so the layout of the map is generally quite open. The map is generally suited to King Of The Hill and Territory Gametypes. You may also want to consider Battle Rifle starts depending on the amount of players.

    Recommended gametype and player count:

    Team King on Departure with 6 - 12 players.

    Weapons:

    5 x Battle Rifle
    2 x Covenant Carbine
    1 x Assault Rifle
    1 x Sniper Rifle
    1 x Brute Shot
    2 x Plasma Rifle
    2 x Spiker
    2 x SMG
    1 x Needler
    1 x Mauler
    1 x Energy Sword

    Equipment:

    1 x Regenerator
    1 x Bubble Shield
    1 x Trip Mine

    A variety of Frag, Plasma and Spike grenades have benn placed suitable around the map.

    Vehicles:

    Attackers - Warthog (Symmetry = Both)

    Defenders - Ghost (Symmetry = Asymmetrical)
    Warthog (Symmetry = Symmetrical)

    This map is pretty good. I like the big interlocked double box base to. Most of your merges are very clean and strait. I just think that this map is to open. I bet this could have been really good if you just added a little more cover.

    i agree with slaved bunny, the forging is great, but it is far too open. Especially with the warthog, all the space makes it too easy to kill people with it.

    well this map looks well forged so don't worry about the interlocking and geo-merging, it looks good but the teleporters really change the flow of the map. To be honest in a bad way. The two things that really need fixing on this map is the teleporters and how open he map is. If your not in a base the map is to open, you should place some walls or something. I'm giving this map a 4/5, you have received a DL

    The base looks excently(bad spelling) forged. Along with other people Ill say it does look a bit open but I think you did this to have more vehicle battles. Mabey you could add some hills or soemthing so the vehicles don't dominate the entire map.

    the forging and geomerging is fantastic but if i were u i wuld make a v2 and add some more greatly forged structures in . escprscially were the 4 wire spools r

    i like the idea of doing something different, but i do think that you should greatly enlarge the fact that this is intended for vehicle combat, like write intended for vehicle combat in big green letters, just because most people wont see that. aside from that some of the catwalks look a little 1directional, like only one route. try to mix in different paths to spread gameplay

    i love how you made that box corner perfect merging/interlocking but i have to agree with the other guys way to open man this map has potential

    EDIT: IT IS NOT TOO OPEN. Play a map before making a statement like that. Oh yeah, and in the pic with the sword you can see a bubbleshield, which would be great as cover without blocking the vehicles' paths.

    Well, seeing that the map is focused around vehicles, it would be illogical to add more structures. That would obstruct the vehicles. Anyway, the reason those structures are higher up is for the... infantry, I suppose you could say. The walkways provide cover and height advantage, while the lower levels are ruled by vehicles. I must say, the sheer simplicity of this map is very appealing. I love the sort of minimalist approach to the map, and the weapons seem to be placed well. I'm particularly fond of the sword spawn, because it forces the player to brave the "vehicle storm" to get that weapon. I'll see if I can play it tomorrow when I get out of school. But just by simply looking at the pictures, I can see it is an awesome map.

    Yes, very well put, that is precisely right.

    The teleporter does not ruin gameplay at all, it allows players on foot to access the walkways that vehicles cannot get to instead of having to run out into the middle, and from there can access pretty much anywhere.

    The map is awesome, tons of fun, and had us screaming at each other in all the games we played. Loved it, you don't often (let me reiterate that, you practically never) see a map that works well for vehicles, let alone one that's designed around them. Great for a Warthog aficionado such as myself.

    Haha this is the map where I took Phreakie's potential Overkill/Extermination, and then later on got one myself.
    He's hated me ever since, haha

    But anyway, playing Territories on this map was very fun, because the gameplay is really, really good. It is plain and simple yes, but thats all it needs because it simply plays that great. I can't stress enough how fun it is to play. The spawns, smooth interlocks, and everything is just stellar.

    And sorry Phreakie. :)

    WOW im about to submit this next week the map is called warehouse, check out this pic the base looks like your 4th pic alot how weird is that ...lol heres the pic, the base is even in the same place on foundry........... oh i just noticed something even more weird that thing u built in front of base all the way to the left the ramp with walkway thingy i built that almost exact thing on the inside of base on same wall wow u have to hit me up on live gamertag is twisted gaming ..u can see it before i submit it

    Really cool map. I love the double boxes base. Its really open though in the middle of the map. Your Youtube video isn't working for me though. I dont know how much the warthog / ghost combo would work on the map either with 6 to 12 people. But the interlocking and geomerging are really good. So 2 thumbs up from me.

    This map is AWESOME! I love vehicle based maps, Contrary to others beliefs the map is not to open at all. The one thing i might change is i think there should be some more structure inside the large base but other than that perfect!

    Great job Waz im glad to see a map on Foundry that is not based on your br/sniper skills and is not a slew of structures that are all connected by a bunch of walkways.

    And for all of you idiots that think the map needs a bunch of structures is just conforming to the beliefs of the public which is not the best thing and if you expect to be known as a good forger break away from the conformity and think for yourself

    excellent map. i would go on and on about how NOT open the map is but a couple other ppl already did that for me :D. the map is based around infantry using height, and vehicles using open space. it portays it perfectly. anyway, i think the map is fantastic 5/5//55/5///55/555/5.

    This looks amazing. I understand how it is specifically designed for vehicles so everyone saying that his map is too open needs to read next time.

    I really love the layout interlocking and I will definitely try and clear space on my fileshare to find a place for it. I'm looking foreword to playing a game. 5/5

    The structures, arches,..etc in the map very neat and cool, one thing i'd really try to work on is thats its way to open and like if you go out in the middle its like if your going to be a trooper, so what id do is like add more sturctures or so which, but i give a 4.3/5
    Very good and neat!
