This is called Monster Hunter. It's a complete hit in Japan and the U.S. side of Capcom is hesitant of releasing it because the first Monster Hunter didn't do well. Although people say it felt uncompleted, glitchy, or graphically challenged. Although I also feel the first game was like a Beta, it was still tons of fun playing it with my other two friends.

They've updated the PC version of the game tons with new monsters and stuff, but the US hasn't and most likely won't see it's release. It was released to Japan in 2007. Anyways, this game is now an MMO. You get quests online and can join 4 other players to slay one giant monster or finish other quests fast. I mean, come on, what cooler that slaying monsters 3 times your size? Anyways, here is the video.

Four actually. See though, each quest only allows 4 people for specific reasons. Lag would be extreme. If the monsters were to be attacked by lets say 8 people, it would be over very quick. I've played it before and having them limit your party about actually makes it just as much of a challenge as anything else. Heck, some of these monsters you won't be able to solo either...

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for PSP is amazing. I play it all the time on long car trips, or when I'm just bored. Didn't know there was a console/PC version in America though. Might have to check it out some time.

Well sadly, Capcom US believe there is no reason to release any version of this game to the consoles because they're wouldn't be enough sales. That is a lie. Monster Hunter Freedom 1 and 2 here have sold millions of copies each... Imagine if that was on the Playstation 3, Wii, 360 or PC. Sadly, the only console Monster Hunter game the US has is the original for PS2 which, if you have completed offline, is now useless since they shut off the online servers. Either or Japan get's spoiled with this game. They've sold millions of each and I know that lots of people in the US love Japanese games. Just look at Megaman and Metal Gear Solid, huge fan bases. They just didn't do any marketing with the first release of Monster Hunter here, so it never caught on... Stupid mistakes lead down a broken road.
