Is it possible to get at the top of the foundry? might somehow it is woud be soo cool if we coud able to build a map with respawns at the top of the roof, where the sight is amazing any ideas, how we coud get there? couse im shure there is a way to get up there, just we need to furmulated
I already knew the turret method, but i didnt know the other 2, thanks they will mean alot to alot of people.
Yea, objects can be placed there with the S&Q method, but to date no player has successfully used the roof for any practical purposes.
Okay, so I'm having loads of trouble. It's with the ever infamous "Death Barrier" I have tried to get out of a few maps, but whenever I do, I get killed. The Pit- I use TEH TURRT METh0d to get out of the main fence. Once there, I try to walk further but can't, and eventually I die. Once, I put a teleporter outside the bounds I could walk into. Whenever I go in, though, I die. Sandtrap- I got a person in a tank turret and forced them out. Once I got far enough for me to turn into the Editor without being pushed back in bounds, I did. I made a teleporter out there. Same thing happened as in the Pit; I died Last Resort- First I tried to get out into the broad field between Camp Froman and the side walkway of the main base. This one, I put a person into a container and pushed them out. Then, while still in the container, I had them use the save and quit method (which, by the way, I use for every teleporter I need to get somewhere I cannot) to have a teleporter suspend in midair outside my reach. However, once more, I died. Then I tried to get out of an area in the power plant. I got onto one of the upper walkways on the side of the building and managed to get a teleporter past the invisible barrier, then save and quit it to get it to remain there. After that, I went through and you should know what happened next. So is there any advice? What am I doing wrong, because I can only get a few inches out of maps, if any at all, before being killed by the Guardians or "falling to my death" (walking along and dropping dead out of nowhere) Please help, because getting out of maps can greatly increase my forging ability. Thanks.
It's because the barriers aren't a wall like this safe|safe They're like this safe|deathdeathdeathdeathdeath It's safe on one side but for all of the far side it's a death zone.
I know, but I also know that these death barriers can be passed safeely (to some short extent) I've seen a good many maps that are past known death barriers. So it must be possible.
We don't know that for certain. Maybe its safe|deathdeathdeath|safe Maybe we just can't get that far out of the map yet. Its possible until Bungie officially says it impossible. --dc
even if bungie says its impossible, its still possible. somebody would have to find some way eventualy.
Its too bad we pwnd the Halo 2 maps so badly... I mean, like pwnd without prejudice; nasty-styley. If we hadn't done that, Bungie wouldn't have taken this many precautions to prevent us from getting outside of Halo 3 maps! *Shakes fist at the North, where Bungie is located* --dc
but that was one of the fun things of halo 2, "how could we break out of this map". and halo 3 its, "yeah theres nothing really outside of foundry just a little area, and lots of death." i really hope some one figures out how to make a map outside the death barrier, and have it be playable, like a battle near the farm area on standoff, or a "fight for the satalite dish" game
I am sure if we did not get out of the beata maps so much it would have been much easyer to get out of all the maps.
Exactly. And it carries back to Halo 2. That's why superbounces don't exist in Halo 3 either! And no, I'm not about to bust out my H2 disc either... lol. --dc
Has anybody gotten into the little control room on Rat's Nest? Go to the main hallway (in the middle) and look up. I just noticed it a while ago.
Most of the map WAY outside is just a blank canvas. I doubt Bungie filled it with death. Basically, a big blank area. You can put anything in there and if somebody gets there, It will be like what I hoped for Foundry to be- a big, blank, do-whatever-the-h*ll-you-want, map.
Yes, I hope so. It would really suck if all that geometry out there cannot be physically walked on (i.e. fall through to your death). I always thought a cool map could be built out on the dock (behind the two big fans)... if we ever get there. --dc
Dang. Because I tried to get to the large, circular structure surrounding Sandtrap. If I were to juice it up a bit, it would make a good racetrack.
