u like the gov't ... we dont know till you tell us. we are stupid brainless forgers..ha yeah that would be a good idea, like for team slayer with the bases on opposite sides and like underground tunnels to get to them.. or you could have a kind of war game where there is the home army and their tunnels dont change, and then you coukld have visitors that change so it like a real war.
Or you could do randomized spawns with objects covering spawn points, or you could use geomerging and interlocking to create weird effects and looks. Imagine randomized man cannons geomerged in a map for a minigame or something... get creative folks...
this map is epicness i love the whole thing how it is randomized i have been trying to come up with a way to do that for a long time to make a left 4 dead map with ranom spawning supplies and youve answered my prayers thank you i hope you dont mined if i use that idea but ill give credit to you for it. as for the map it looks really good and nice esspecially with the randomness i like it i give it a 5/5 great work. keep that brain of yours looking for new forge discoveries =P oh and i DL it because it looks awesome
Its been my experience that this doesn't work. I know a few people that tried it out a few months back and it never actually worked. Im assuming there's more to it than just changing the RTM, and I'll wait to read your article In the meantime, I have the map queued.
Hmm. I had a similar semi-concept about this randomly spawning map thing, but you beat me to it. (Unsurprisingly.) I have to check this out, so I can tell you how well it actually works.
I read through the entire post and failed to find my credit.... I notice the first line, and there it is "special thanks to Tyrant Hacker". AZN the map plays well now that i fixed it... yet I would suggest creating a version two (or i might) with more rooms, possibly use fence walls, fence boxes, and other objects... to add more variety... Overall, the map is extremely innovative and in some ways its the first off its kind. Great Job!
I love mazes. I usually get lost in them, but they are still sweet anyway. That Minotaur one was amazing. Oh well, nice map anyway.
I apologize bro... I'll go fix that... been busy running around with screenshots and typing and what not... As for the randomization... there is a little more you have to do, it took us (Asper, Betawaffle, and myself) a while to figure it out.
I remember testing this like 5 months ago This map is actualy confusing and simple Great job AZN. I plan on making a map with this trick
Way to AZN!! This is pure genius! It's so simple...This has been around forever, but we were all so ignorant to actually notice if it was random or not! There can be alot of different uses for this too, I've just thought of like seven. Anyway, the map itself doesn't seem like that great of a use for the technique, but a good start. I've never actually played speed swat, but it sounds kinda fun. 5/5 for finding the glitch. No rating for the map itself.
this is sweet i love random maps like this are thier any weapons that spawn inside of the maze? 4.5/5 very nice thanks alot this makes players rerlay on on skill and not whats on the map thanks for a sweet map
holy crap! this is the next best thing to interlocking! so many Ideas.. going to explode! I am totally looking forward to your thread on randomizing, and I hope all of the journalists put it on the front page cuz i'm too lazy to look. Now for quessions: Did you put random spawned weapons too? Do you believe this will get featured just for the idea of it? Should people have radar? (or suggest which gametypes should) Can u send meh a link to the 101 thread? That about wraps it up, Gniiight!
This map sets a platform for a variety of mini games. It's sort of like the lost chamber on crack, and yes the randomization works to a charm. Certainly a must have for anyone who likes mini games. I know how you did it, but I still look forward to seeing the tutorial.
This is awesome. One thing I didn't like about The Lost Chamber was that the walls were too tight. You, sir, have made such fun-looking map that would promise 'edge of your seat' gameplay and that you made the walls of your maze more spacious. I find, probably, Evil Dead to be the best gametype for this because it sounds very exciting. Excellent work, my friend.
AZN. Why is this such a good map. Why is it one of the most original. I'll tell you why. The fact of the randomization. It makes playing the gametypes that are listed awesome. In all honesty if I had to choose between Dynamo and Lost Chamber for Peasant hunt I would choose this. Rockets n Nades plays actually very well. Speed Swat is intense. And just straight up slayer is even good. AZN you have done it again. Congratulations. 4.9/5
This is a VERY awesome idea. I'm gonna try the Pesent Hunt gametype and see how that works. GERAT JOB!
This is an interesting idea, but unfortunately the map is only different during the first 3 minutes of gameplay. Perhaps you should make a more specialized gametype so the rounds never last that long? But as others have stated, I wouldn't really call his a minigame, more so a casual map. Edit: After playing this I have a few comments. The map itself isn't very well made. Quite a few of the walls are crooked and there are several places where you can throw grenades between cracks where there should be geomerging. While I could care less about the aesthetic value, these problems present poor game play scenarios and throw off the balance of the map.
Most of the gametypes are like that, Speed SWAT and Rockets N Nades don't last much longer than 4 or 5 mins... but I also use the fact that all the walls spawn after 3 mins. On Evil Dead, the zombies have to suffer the open spots for 3 mins while the humans camp. Then all the walls spawn and it's up to the humans to survive on their own in claustrophobia. I already thought of that.
