    Elevation is a small map that I made in about 30 minutes. Please don't bother going into serious detail about how this map is good or bad, because it's just a fun little infection mini-game that I thought I might as well post.
    Well, anyway Elevation is basically a map worked around he central golden gravity lift of Construct. Humans must defend themselves as more and more zombies come flying up the gravity lift. At the top is a trip mine and a flamethrower to help out the humans.
    Basically, if you like typical infection mini-games, you'll like this. It's not a beautifully aesthetic map, it's just another one of mine.
    The gametype works like team SWAT the zombies have no shields, humans have BRs. You may think this is cause to endless massacre of the zombies but usually once the zombies have infected one person, the amount of zombies speeding up the grav lift increase. The game basically works on a pressure system.

    *DO NOT POST THAT MAP CAN BE BROKEN - THE GAMETYPE MAKES SURE NO-ONE CAN GET OVER THE BARRIERS WITHOUT BEING SUCKED INTO THE TELEPORTERS*

    I don't think I've ever seen a map on forgehub that's used Construct, EVER. So good job on being the first one I've seen.

    I actually like the idea, so long as there is a fair point system. I'd like the see a list of traits in the post however, as I'm sure many other users would as well. Since no one will be focused on the quality of the map, they'll be wondering how well it will play and a list of traits will help give them an idea.

    When you were making this map, it was definatly 30 minutes very well spent. I can see that despite what you say, it is a very aesthetically pleasing map, I'm forging on it right now, and I think this would be awesome to play, if I ever get the chance. Surprisingly, I'm keeping this one as well. Plus your other map. Your a very lucky man Patchwork, I usually keep almost nobodies maps, only extremely good ones, and ones that reach out to me. I don't think I have almost ever had 2 maps by the same person, except maybe doognit, and one of those old guys that always get featured. Anyway, nice job, and keep forging. BTW read my sig and give it some thought. :)

    this looks kkindof awsome. the whole jump die repeat thing might get boring but maybe if it was something like 25 or 50% starting zoombies it would be good.
    anyway congrats on the non dlc map

    it was a good idea you actually use a map that no one ever uses. the gameplay reminds me exactly of Clog on the Toielt (which is great) the barrier looks solid and weapon choice looks just as good ill DL and giv eit a try.

    OFF TOPIC: I hav an infection map on construct so please check it out

    ON THE MAP: i think this is a very nicely thought out map, i hav honestly never seen a map like this so props for that, you have my download

    cool.
    its good to see some classics put into forging- the only thing that is ever around is foundary- avalanche(mostly race/ aesthetics) and blackout.

    so its good to see a construct map.
    but centering a game around camping gold lift- it looks like its encouraging people to do this more often.

    also- the map cant be broken with the gametype- but even on others? you should try building up the wall to make it taller- just for other gametypes.

    and it looks a little to cheap- but oh well- it doesnt seem recommended 4-10 players- it seems like a nescesity to have more than 10 players. and once again oh well.

    Ok, first of all, this is genius, second of all, the humans could jump on one anothers head so one could get out of the map, fix the hieght, and ur good

    YOu can change the gametype to create any type of gameplay you want, I aren't overly bothered lol.

    I was waiting for someone to say this. Well basically the gametype keeps humans and zombies at 200% gravity, so this does keep them out. To stand on each others head the would probably get infected before they could move. Also, I don't think I could make the walls any higher without breaking the item limit.

    Actually, I think there are a few race maps on Construct, and a few zombie ones too.

    Now, the map is very original. I very much like it. As long as there are no real balance issues (apart from the fact the zombies are kamikaze) I think the map is a great success. And I don't know what you're on about saying that it doesn't look nice, the aesthetics are nice. 4.5/5. So, well done. You've created a very cool map. Keep on Forging!

    Nothing against this game, it looks like a fun waste of a few minutes, but I'm very confused by this notion that somehow non-dlc maps deserve extra recognition for being 'unconventional'. While I understand that it's overall harder to effectively forge on these maps, the forging that is required generally takes less time and skill. In fact, I don't know anyone who has been forging for more than a year(before the dlc release) that is actually intreged by this, mainly because it's nothing we haven't seen before.

    Most of these posts, including mine which you quoted, merely reflect to the fact that non-dlc maps aren't used as often nowadays and when a map is made on a non-dlc it is recognized that they took the challenge to stray away from the comonly forged on maps and recognize the classics. But honestly, Construct is RARELY forged on. This is the first one I've seen posted on forgehub, anyway.

    I agree that construct is rarely forged on, but I don't agree that forging on non-DLC maps is better than on DLC maps. Like I said, I made this map in about 30 minutes, and it took minimal forging skill.

    The map's pretty sweet and was really fun to test but it can get really annoyin bein zombie

    yes, that is one of the main criticisms. Being a zombie is worse than being dead....
