Pet peeves on maps Floor Flashing "ugly" interlocks Geomerging for no reason grouping too many spawn points in an area seeing weapon holders not using enough ramps expecting a person to jump for everything shield doors switches for the sake of switches aesthetics with no gameplay; unless purely aesthetic
the yellow wall along the side of foundry that means you have to merge everything near the edges (i really, really, really hate the garage doors) after you start new round about 50 times, it will end the game- and if you forgot to save recently you loose half a dozen new rounds of work.
Is it a glitch? I've encountered it before, but I always just assumed I accidentally pressed my finger too far down on the right trigger when starting a new round...
Yup. 32 rounds. As for mine when I see other people's maps: - Open boxes when that bottom area isn't merged into the ground. (I was forced not to once on Tribulum, but that was because it would've altered the floor above) - Any shield door aesthetic. Overdone. - Tons of jumps, few natural ways up elevation. Nothing crushes the flow of gameplay more. - Areas with only one way in. There is no place in the natural Halo 3 maps where that happens, and for good reason.
When someone comes into your map, dletes everything and then ****s off. It's so annoying. It's why I forge in Local now. Or when you delete something by accident.
One thing that always bothers me is when I try to geo-merge something that is in the air. It has always been a pain to me.
Merging at an angle. And, what everyone else has said. When you go and start a new round, but accidentally end the game. -___-
I hate that. You will be so excited, like only one more interlock to do, then YOU, not the 25 round thing end the game. I was just wanting to end the round a little to quickly. I also hate,HATE with a passion when people try to connect a wall with a Box, especially on the bottom of the box. cause all those little wall lines are sticking out and stuff, yuck... Shield doors on the ground, not even interlocked The Wall+Box Thing Having some of your objects getting deleated, cause someone joined and they were connection host, and then he/she left. Insane 54
Problems with forge: -The fact that you can't just grab a reciever node. The point at which you grip it is the middle of the green teleporty stuff. -That extra invisible stair at the front of a set of stairs -The center of balance that window panels do not have -When you try to create an object, and it appears outside of the Foundry warehouse. -That little tiny bit of a box on Avalanche or Blackout that pokes out of the smaller faces that other objects auto-merge with that is just tall enough for a respawn point to hide in. -The boxes on Avalanche and Blackout in general. Problems with what people do in forge: -Placing the base of a set of stairs right infront of a wall -Power weapons that are impossible to get to -Dead ends -Placing pistols -Easily fixable bumps in the floor -Using shield doors as water. It was a good idea, but it's been done enough. -Ships on Avalanche (Unless they're really, really good)
ok the thing that really gets on my nerves is not having 90 degree snapping, it would be so much easier to line stuff up when they snap to 90 degrees also i would want to have this an option, so you could turn it on and off then you needed it and when you didn't.
Got another one: the fact that you can't use the top of double boxes decoratively; they have curves sides and you're therefore forced to use the bottoms of boxes. Then your entire map turns into a sicky-coloured puke map.
-When people interlock to interlock. -Puzzle Maps -The 32 Round BS. -Objects spawning above foundry...wtf. -Accidentally pressing the wrong objects. -Trying to pick something up that spawns in the air and drops to the ground. -The time to create a map.
I really hate this on maps. >when people geomerge just for the heck of geomerging Also i hate this about forge >When you interlock things and they start flickering madly between the two items. >when you want to delete the item your holding but you delete the item behind it instead >when you start a new round and it ends the game (I save a lot more now so it's not as much of a problem as it used to be for me.) >item limit >having to make maps unbreakable (just play the game instead of immediately trying to get out. There's nothing good outside of the map.) >the part of the walls thats invisible but still is part of the wall. (Hard to explain)
The damn boxes never geo-merge without tilting... those walls always want to fall down, and... WHY IS THERE NO SAVE CHANGES OPTION AFTER DOING ALOT???
