'The Quarantine Zone'

    Hi everybody!

    I think I have the perfect map for playing 'One Bomb' but maybe you guys see things that I can improve before I start forging.

    Story:
    Once barbarians could live peacefully in their own territory at the ground of an old foundry. Then the U.S. Government discovered that the old foundry was leaking dangerous gasses, the old factory became an quarantine zone and the barbarians were told to go and live somewhere else but they won't leave, they will defend their territory with their lives. Now the U.N.S.C. has the mission to plant a bomb in the old factory but that won't be easy with the barbarians defending it and because of the gasses they have low shield.

    Information:

    The Bomb is located behind the truck, beneath the tower of the barbarians are 4 tunnels, in that tunnel you can find a teleporter which leads to the top of the tower and the spot where the bomb has to be armed. The mancannons at the top of the tunnels will send you to the 'Sniper Bridge' There is a long wall of barriers so that the warthog can't go further that half of the map. All remaining objects like barrels, other barriers and crates are just to provide cover because with a low shield you don't want a headshot. The squares next to the tunnels are crates that are they main way to gey on top of the tunnels.

    The U.N.S.C.
    *Spawns at the left side.
    *Has 4 Battle Rifles, 10 Plasma Grenades, 2 Bubble Shields, 2 Health Regenerators, 1 Mongoose, 1 Warthog and 1 Active Cammo.
    *Must plant a bomb at the Barbarians territory.

    The Barbarians
    *Spawns at the right side.
    *Has 2 Battle Rifles, 2 Sniper Rifles and 1 Turret.
    *Must defend their territory against the U.N.S.C.

    Gametype: Destruction*

    Original Map: Foundry

    Players: 12-16

    Weapons on map:
    *Spawn: Assault Rifle
    *Turret x1
    *Battle Rifle x6 (Low amout of bullets)
    *Sniper Rifle x2 (Low amount of bullets)

    Equipment on map:
    *Plasma grenades x10
    *Health Regenerator x2
    *Bubble Shield x2
    *Active Cammo x1

    Vehicles on map:
    *Mongoose x1
    *Warthog x1

    *Destruction: 'Destruction' is a variant to 'One Bomb' The players have very low shields. You must plant the bomb at the enemy territory to complete you objective.

    sounds pretty interesting, but if the barbarians have a turret, there gonna shred thru the shield less USMC and using a warhog would be a death sentence. But could make for some rlly tactical games.

    Yup a turret ^^ It will shred the U.N.S.C. if they don't play like a team, you see the map has enough cover and the warthg can be used as distraction for the turret, try to stuck the turret guy, give him a headshot with you battle rifle sneak past him with the active cammo.. lots of ways to beat the turret.. just be creative and play as a team.

    Only problem I see is that your map is not to scale. Foundry's warehouse area is not that deep (left to right length from your map's perspective).

    If you can tweak your layout to accommodate Foundry's size limitations, I think you will be on to something.

    Foundry is longer than you think.. i agree the background is a little bit longer than it should be but there is enough space i can cut out.

    Well, I make my maps based off of this overview that Bungie provided, and the warehouse section more closely resembles a square. Check it our for yourself.

    thnx for the map but i allready had that, i made the map based on that map foffcourse.. don't worry it fits.

    but i need some other help to get my map and gametype better'.
    or is it perfect? ^_^

    Okay. If you say it fits, then it fits.

    As far as the layout goes, it seem like there is a lack of cover for the team coming from the bases. It seems like the warehouse base will act as one giant camping spot.

    I understand if you want to have it open, but you should still ad a bit of cover. Crates, barriers, etc. to spice it up a bit. Give the base team an incentive to come out and not get slaughtered.

    Those are just my thoughts.

    i agree it needs some spice, remember there is almost no shield so the campers can be eliminated easily if ijust put some fusion coils over there. though it needs to be a tough job to plant. also the worthog needs to have just enough space. but i'll see how i can spice it up a little bt.
    any ideas?

    how about instead of bumping... post something useful... like an update first...then bumping is useful... and also 24 hrs isn't a useful stretch to bump...wait a week...

    yup i guess youre right. Frigoc, thnx fr the comment.

    But okay i will udate the map and bump it then but first i'd like to hear some ideas about how i can give the UNSC better cover. =D
