    Picture this...

It's been a grueling quest so far that has all lead up to THIS moment. You've just dispached the last of his henchmen and taken out his right hand man. You pass through THAT door where you undergo the last loading sequence. The picure refocus', and the door shuts behind you. You see a light at the end of the tunnel, but you know its not freedom you will be getting... not yet. Prepare yourself for battle, for it is time to take down the Boss you've faught through hell and back to get to. Victory is waiting after you spill the last of his blood. I wish you the best of luck, and... welcome to his playhouse...

Welcome to "The Final Boss", by DoNotPassGo v2
    -----------------------------------------------
This map I first created early on when foundry was released... but unfortunantly I had a lot of trouble back then with using the Unlimited Money map and wasn't that experienced with forge to make the map BEAUTIFULL, and a lot I had to take out to make it work. Needless to say, my friends and I always had a Blast! playing this map reguardless of how it looked. That has now changed...

After loosing my Hard Drive due to corruption I lost all of my files, and had to start rebuilding my collection. I had planned to spend a few hours quickly recreating Final Boss, but after looking on here to get the link to Mason Cain's (which i know now) fileshare... I found Budda's foundry map with the empty working Budget Glitch... and long story short (I know I already talked too much)... I ended up putting a straight 14 hours into making this map again and I must say, for me at least, it looks MUCH better than it had before... and I would say good enough to be my first Forge Hub map.

    Lets get to the map...

    ==================================================
    ==================================================

Before I begin the explination... trust me I understand that the descriptions for this will seem REALLY long, but one you actualy play the map you will notice that most of it will come somewhat fluently and you just need to remember the Honor Rules, which will be explained as the walkthrough initates.

    The Basics
    ----------
    - The gametype is build off of VIP, and the main objective is for the Attackers (the Players) to kill the Defender (The Final Boss of w/e game you want to imagine) three times in three different challeges (or more like stages or rooms for some games) without EVERY player being killed in a single room [More on that later].

    - This game is best played, in my oppinion, with Three Players (always only one boss). Two players is still fine to play with just much more of a challenge... Four although is too many and makes it TOO easy for the players.

    ==================================================
    The Actual Game...
    ==================================================

    **Special Note**
Any text marked in THIS color is an "Honor" Rule that must be explained along with the game when playing and abided by...

    The Preperation
    ---------------
The Players begin the game in the long hallway together. They must simply cross to the other side and reach the teleporter (nothing huge). Upon exiting the teleporter, each player goes through the gravlift which boosts them to an awning type ledge overlooking a paintball type field of goodies. Standing directly on the other side up in a pearch is the man himself. Lucky for him, he is given one of each sniper rifle and some grenades. Don't worry though, the floating sheild doors prevent him from shooting you while you prepare. But once you decide to make your move, let the game begin...

    (The calm before the storm)

(The back hall with the grav lift)

    Stage 1 - Target Practice
    -------------------------
Players must use the cover to their advantage and advance down the field. Players cannot fire their plasma pistols at the Boss at anytime (DURRING THE WHOLE GAME!!!), and the Boss cannot leave the boundaries of the box he spawns in. The goal for the Players is to have at least one person from the team make it alive to the pathway directly underneath the Boss' pearch. If everyone is killed by the sniper... then the game will end [more on this soon I promise]. If one player does make it to the pathway, he will be greated to a pistol with 1 ammo clip. The Player must use this pistol to shoot the fusion coil to the left behind the fence wall. This explosion will set off a domono effect which will (a) free the path to the right which will let the Players alive advance, and (b) take away one Life from the Boss who has to remain in his box and die... I mean, come on, we need a game to play here. The players go down the path and through a teleporter which brings them to the first in-between area.

(Stage 1 from the Boss' View)

    (The Boss' Sniper Box)

(The Magnum and the Fusion Coil)

Transition 1 - *FOR THE BOSS*
    ------------------------------
The boss will be respawned in his side room which will show him two paths marked by A and B signs. A comes first in the alphabet, and so I have it set up so you take the A path the first time, and the B path when you come back later. So, the Boss should take the LEFT "A" path towards his items for Stage 2. In the weapon holder in front of him is an Energy Sword, a Grav Lift, and a Custom Power-up. More will be explained on these in the Stage 2 description. After collecting everything, the Boss will enter the teleporter to the right of these items and will be teleported to a box high above Stage 2 where he MUST remain untill he is signaled (yes you will know and it will be explained) for Stage 2 to begin.

(The "A" path with the items/teleporter. Also note that both this and "B" photo are shown without the roof on for photo sake. Durring game, a roof is put over this area)

    (The Boss' Stage 2 box)

Transition 1 - *FOR THE PLAYERS*
    ---------------------------------
When you emerge from the teleporter, you will see a reciever node covered by a crate sitting next to some fusion coils. Simple logic will tell you to explode the fusion coils with the pistol, thus freeing your teamates from their death cell (there it finally is). When a player is killed in this game... they are respawned in a seethrough box high atop the playing field with a full view of stages 1-2 to help cheer on their teamates (not stage 3 through). The same rules apply for the signs except this time they are use to point towards teleporters you should use. After Stage 1 use A, and after Stage 2 use B.

Once you free every player, you traverse down a hallway where you will fcome across 4 shotguns, each with only one clip. Every player picks up one shotgun (and is highly advised), AND ONE PLAYER MUST KEEP THE PISTOL FROM STAGE 1 ALONG WITH A SHOTGUN. Depending on how many are playing, the extra ammo can be rationed. At the end of the hallway is a teleporter which will drop you into Stage 2...

    (The Respawning box)

(The Player Retrieval Area after Stage 1... also note that the station after Stage 2 is very similar no picture is needed)

(The hallway connecting Stages 1 and 2; the street cones are pointing towards the 2 remaining Shotguns to pick up)

Stage 2 - The Hunter and the Prey
    ---------------------------------
The players will be dropped into the corner of a small sized square arena filled with barrels everywhere and 2 sheild doors in the middle in the shape of an X. Above one side of the walls is an Open Box blocked on one side and with pallets on the other. This is where the Boss is waiting for the challege to be accepted. The Custom Power-up that the boss picked up compleatly changed the gameplay around. The boss is now fully cloaked and will remain that way for the rest of Stage 2. His speed has been increased to 150%, but his gravity has also been increased to 200%.

So the basic premise of Stage 2 is the the Boss enters the playing field and moves around like an invisible hawk waiting for the right moments to strike and pick of players with his sword 1 by 1. The way to start Stage 2 is, once all the Players have formed up and are ready, that the player still holding the pistol shoots the Fusion Coils above the box the Boss is in. This, along with the sound of the explosion, will blow the pallets away from the door (not hurting the Boss) and signaling him to begin. The Boss must jump directly into the pit (Yes I've done everything to my ability to prevent him to be able to jump to any side places to sneek up and cheat but there still could be a way) and the slaughter... er um I mean the game begins... THE BOSS CANNOT USE THE GRAV LIFT AT ANY TIME DURRING THIS AND MUST HOLD ON TO IT.

When the Boss attacks and kills a player he becomes visible for a short time and the players must capitalize on this before its too late. Once he is invisible again, the players must keep a keen eye on the air and look for any bend in light that he is attacking. If the Players can kill the Boss, he looses his second life and one of the Players picks up the dropped Grav Lift and they use it to vault over the lower wall and head through the teleporter exiting Stage 2.

(The Stage 2 arena seen from over the shorter wall)

    (The teleporter behind Stage 2)

Transition 2 - *FOR THE BOSS*
    ------------------------------
The Boss respawns back in his Liar and this time has to head to the right on the "B" Sign path. After walking for a little, he will become trapped between two grav lifts (only temperarly) and starts to gather up the items provided for him: An SMG; 2 Plasma grenades; 2 Firebomb grenades; and a Flare. Behind one of the grav lifts the Boss can see some Fusion Coils, but for the time being there's no way of exploding them to break free. So here he waits for a little...

(The "B" pathway... again note the roof has been removed)

Transition 2 - *FOR THE PLAYER*
    --------------------------------
The surviving players are taken to the second and final retrieval station. After releasing their fellow Players, everyone moves down the hall and are greated with a selection of weapons: 1 BR; 1 Sniper Rifle; 1 Brute Shot; and 1 Carbine. (THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT FAIR AND A CHALLENGE FOR STAGE 3!!!) Each player picks up ONE weapon to go along side their starting Plasma Pistol (except for who's still holding the pistol that fills for the Plasma Pistol) WHICH THEY CANNOT USE!!! And yes... the SHOTGUN does count for that 1 weapon so if you wish to take another gun you MUST drop your shotgun (which another player could get ammo for if they wanted it). Once every player has 1 weapon, they must make their way towards the teleporter. There is a Fusion Coil behind the teleporter and a Fence Wall. When the players are ready to begin Stage 3, one player must shoot the Fusion Coil before they enter the teleporter. This frees the Boss who can now continue down his path picking up a Grav Hammer to go with his SMG and items... AND an Oversheild. He then enters his teleporter and... well lets just say it ends now...

(The hallway with weapons connecting Stages 2-3)

Stage 3 - The Final Battle
    -------------------------
This is it... this is where it ends.

The Players are dropped into a corner of a slightly bigger than Stage 2 room which is filled with similar scenery from Stage 1. Abover the Player's heads is an inexcessible scaffold which seems to hold some purpose. Also in this room the Players can find 2 Deployable Covers, 1 Radar Jammer, and even a turret if they are willing to move and find them. Little do the they know time is not on their side. Not soon after they arrive will they notice the Open Box near the end of one of the scaffolds. All they can see is a sheild door covering 2 pallets conceiling something. Soon enough... they know.

The Boss' teleporter takes him right inside this box and he is mad and he is angry! Using the grav hammer, he destroys the door holding him back from the arena (There are no rules for this as soon as the Grav Lift holding him back is destroyed the Boss can continue through the teleporter and instantly enter the battlefield... usualy the Players do make it there a couple secons before he can get there so it is fair.) Remember that the Boss recently picked up an Oversheild and it is most likely still charging. So the Boss has the advantage for the first few seconds of the match.

The Boss' lower gravity gives him the ability to gain access to the scaffolding which makes moving around for him much easier and brings the fight to his level. Found in the center of the scaffolding is a one clip ROCKET LAUNCHER which, if the Boss gets, can and will be DEVISTATING to the Players. To try and stop him from getting it, there are a few Fusion Coils the players can see and shoot to hurt him. Also at the other end of the Scafold from where the Boss enters is a detachable Plasma Turret he can also use.

This IS the final battle and the Players must work as a team to take down this tank. Do you think you have what it takes to finish THIS fight???

    **Important Note**
    - VIP makes it a problem for picking the correct sides because the game usualy favors the team with more players to have the single VIP (which would be the opposite of what you want). To solve this problem, I have the gametype set for 2 rounds (if the game begins correctly simply quit after the first round is played) and the number of lives set to 3. When the situtation occures... the single player (who was suppost to be the boss) should spawn alone in the Hallway. This is where he has two options. The first way is to just continue forward untill he makes it to Stage 1 where he should let whoever on the other team kill him with the sniper. The other way is useing a shortcut I placed on top of the spawn box. Above him on top of the box is a mongoose which he can glitch into and can kill yourself with the plasma grenade/fusion coil. This way is not nessessary but is faster if you know how to do it. From here you spawn in the respawn box. It is now the job of the Sniper Box player to pick up the sniper rifle and kill you in the box once you sapawn two times more to end the round! I'm REALLY sorry about this but to my knowledge there is no way of picking correct teams before the match and this will happen a lot. If you have any input to help this situtation, please post here with information.

    thanks

    - Fix'd the photo

And yeah sorry about the photos from forge at the time I was finishing up making this no one on my friends list was on to play and to take some of the photos I need to deleate some scenery to either get into places or see something better and I didnt want to accident mess up if I saved the deleated versons as a new map and something got mixed up */wrists* haha

also thanks in advance for any advice... once again this is the first map I've submitted to ForgeHub and I know it's not perfect and any constructive criticism would be highly apreciated!

and I dont know if you mean neatness of the map or the post but:

    - Sorry for the neatness of the map, I'm experianced in forge enough to create some pretty decent maps, but my interlocking and especialy straighting walls could use a lot of work and I'm trying to get better, it's just I spent 14 hours on this and the wear kind of gets to ya haha

    - I know this post is not very orgainzed that well... but I had a lot of information I need to get out and it was hard to keep it all straight. Also, this is my first post and had a hard time playing with the spacing and everything to see what looked best... thank you though

This map looks great. The desription is very good,i just read all of it.Very good story to this map.It seems really fun.I have seen many of these maps but this one seems like the best one yet. This map is very good like I said but it could possibly be a little neater.I mean like it could be a little more organized. But I give it a 3.5 /5,good map

Firstly, definetly a new idea. I don't think I've ever seen any kind of game like this. This is however the kind of map that can be improved, but you at least used the most foundry has to offer. All I really have to say is, don't take pics on forge mode... because the blue dots are distracting and don't rate your own map. Not sure how this is gameplay wise however so I'll only give 4/5 because of your honor rules in the first boss...

This map looks great, its an original idea with 'the boss' being like in most other games where you fight him in different places.
I think it will work well apart from the various honour rules.
Also the mongoose and everything if it goes wrong is kind of confusing.
Is there a way for humans to camp though? I haven't played it through yet, but could that possibly happen? and if it did would it be a problem.
Overall it looks like fun so you have my download.

And dude, try not to rate your own map...

    sorry

yeah guys I'm really sorry about a lot of the honor rules but for this game they are pretty nesessary and it's not like I'm trying to MAKE you do them its just some are so that the game can progress and keep everything timed welled and others are to keep the game fair... trust me, things like: the Players being able to unscope the Boss in the sniper pit; the boss being able to spawn camp for Stage 2-3; and other things like that are NOT fun to be played and this map is ment for fun and a challenge and can really only be played by people who want to go in and have a new fun experiance aside from infection.

also yes I know the mongoose thing is somewhat a pain but firstly, you dont really NEED to use it you can just progress forward into the sniper pit itself and get shot and then continue it the mongoose is just there if you want a quicker way for people who know how to (ill fix that in the description)... but yeah I hate how one color can just be permanent Offence and Defence and how it favors the bigger team over the smaller (which I can see why) and I had to think of a lot of ways to fix that. Trust me the old way was to just start the game and if it didnt work... end game and try again which is MUCH more of a pain trust me. If you guys have any suggestions on how to fix this please post
