I am Alive is already in development for 3 years. The game will be set in first person. Though, there is a possibility for third person gameplay elements. (To be confirmed) The game will take place in Chicago (whether partly or fully is unknown), where a 10.3 magnitude earthquake took place. You play as a 27-year-old Adam Collins. The game revolves around finding your ex-girlfriend Alice, who may, or may not, be alive. At the current moment 3 more characters are known: *Riley - a young female doctor. *Virgil - an African-American former solider. *Peter - a disabled ex-firefighter. They will give you information and goals to achieve (Additional quests). There are enough other survivors to make your life easier...or harder... One of the ways of telling the story of Adam and Alice is through flashbacks. Whether they will be playable or not is unknown. The game takes place over a limited amount of time (9 days). That means no free-roam after the ending credits. There won't be loads of ammo and health packs, this game isn't about who has the biggest guns, it's all about survival and human actions/emotions. Be sure to breathe deep. Although, you can pick up weapons and shoot/hurt people. Water can either replenish health or be thrown away for distraction. Do what suits situation the best. There will be some kind of a camp, where survivors will gather to share food and sleep safely. The objectives will revolve around the camp at least from time-to-time (bring someone a bottle of water, so the person would not dry up etc). Enemies will try to attack you in large groups, flank you. You'd need help – it would be really hard to survive alone. The cause of the disaster will be revealed throughout the game. (Just a nature disaster??? I don't think this game is going to be big on running and gunning or even tactical shooting. From the description it seems the game is more on logic and emotional actions interacting with the characters in the game. I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of thinking required with some shooting because there are guns. yay! Edit: You think they'll make it multiplayer?
I'm almost positive there won't be multiplayer. There could be coop, but I doubt that as well. Please explain.
I r just joking. I might rent it, but I don't want to be dissapointed like I was with Alone in the Dark. That game was a joke.
I can think of some pretty silly games they could make multiplayer, but it would seem to much of a joke. Like, an oddball gametype, but instead it's a waterbottle because they are need of water. Coop is understandable, they would probably make a whole separate campaign for coop though.
TBH, the game doesn't seem all that promising in the first place. Personaly, I'm expecting a Boshock in a post-apocalyptic Chicago which gets rid of the main appeal of Bioshock.
We really don't know much about it. I'm waiting for more info and footage to be released, but as of right now it looks like just a rental since it seems to only have single player and there is no free roam after the credits.
From what I gather its going to be one of those games where your guy is one of the survivors of an apocalypse. Its all still mysterious though. Which is why I want it.

The plot, yes. I was just thinking that it was a little too soon to be thinking about movie plans for a game that hasn't even released yet.
