Map Name: Winding Way Players: 2-6 racers Base Map: Avalanche Map Link: ~ Download map ~ Gametype Link: ~ Download Gametype ~ This track only works with Halotracks RACETRACKS gametype Difficulty: Hard - contains sharp off-cambers and a chance of falling off the track. Winding Road is medium sized track that contains: - Sharp off-camber turns - 6 'geese - Smooth banks - Uncheatable VIP point - 3 large wallrides (180 banks) - A smooth jump with a good landing - Double wide constantly - Entirely floating track Run-through: You start off on a platform over the edge of the map, where the 'geese are. There is no starting gate system so players can start whenever they want. You immediately drive into a steep off-camber turn, that takes some skill to avoid flipping. You then drive over a ramp onto another minor off-camber turn. From that off-camber you are lead into a series of smooth wallrides, with the VIP point in the middle of a roller-coaster ramp. Author's notes: This map took the longest time to finish, because I had to save and quit everything, and because I lost half the map in a "forget to save" incident. It took about 15 hours overall, but it was well worth it. Hope you guys have a good time racing on it.
oo this track looks fun, but it looks likke from what i cansee, kinda short.. but maybe thats cuz of the pics.. , lots o drama with race tracks maybe you could take a couple more pics, like of the finish line and more of where you go after the start,
Did you post this earlier on halotracks.org or something? i've had this track for a while and its a good one. Its a little short, but the track is smooth and flows really well. It would be nice to have 8 Mongooses, but the banked turns work to perfection. I raced it with a friend who somehow managed to get one of the grav lifts at the checkpoint to fall off the weapon holder which made it cheatable, but I have no idea how that happened, and I haven't had any other problems. A really fun track. 8/10
yes, this has been posted on Halotracks for a while. Is that where you downloaded it? If it isn't then out of curiosity where did you get it?
I'm guessing thats where I got it. I went through their map list in late August last year which was when your map was posted on your fileshare.
Great lol - It's cool to know that people are still going on Halotracks (it's almost dead). Should be posting up my 4th map soon. If anyone would like to test it please send me an FR Gamertag: PatchworkZombie
From what I can see it looks very well done. But I cant be too sure for the fact that you have a lack of pictures. Nothing major I just cant really tell. I would download the track and test it but I cant do that as it seems my Xbox dosent work, therefore pictures of the whole track would help people in my situation. Once again from what I can see nice job.
Well sorry about the pics - for me basically I look at map pics then if I want to see more I download, then test. I see you just want to rate a map from pics soo....
The forging is done really well although I like interlocked banked turns that are circular and not just go up and come down kindof of thing. This map is really compact compared to most maps nad quite small. I give you props for the compactness but I don't think it is all that fun. Don't get me wrong it is good. Just not my style =) 7/10
wow this map looks great the only thing is that you could use more pics and i have a qustoin its not just a circel right?
