Talking at CES, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg told Joystiq that "I can't commit to when that will happen, but that is something we want to do. It's definitely something we're looking at expanding and, as this social network grows, we've absolutely heard the pleas for that. It's on the list."

Yeah, ever time I turn on my xbox, I get auto-signed in. But if I select to play a game from the disc before the achievement thing informing me that I've signed in goes away, my xbox freezes.

But yeah, I like the idea of extending you friend's list. They should make it unlimited. Or just 200 max.

    I hope they extend it.
I can't tell you how many times I've hard to delete people from my friends list to make room for more.
And it's getting to the point where I don't want to delete any more people from it.

Well I'm just glad they've acknowledged the need for more friend space. Its a step in the right direction.

Just delete the ones you don't play with anymore or being very inactive for a long time.

You can do that, but sometimes you have a full friends list of people you know and play with. Thats why we need more space. I say that 150 is fine, and maybe a better way to sort through contacts and friends.

Yes, Microsoft is usually good with improving on community needs. They are good with their online services and always do it through firmware, which is good because we don't have to pay for more hardware.

personally, i dont need any more slots. i think theres far more attractive features they could release rather than extending ones that are already rather generous.

I'm with thesilencebroken, I don't even need 100 spaces on my friends list, and I don't know anyone who does. They should work on new features instead.

*trying not to sound like a complete ****, but* Just because you don't have 100 friends that you play with often, doesn't mean others don't as well. I really hope that this is fixed some time soon.

I don't need it. For one, all the friends I have are never on. So I delete them. So I always have time.

If it's needed, then yes, go ahead.

It would be useful because I have about 60 of my friends from FH and I don't like deleting friends that I know, but a ton of my real friends have Live and I delete someone from FH usually if someone new gets Live. Maybe 125 would be good...

I am for this idea of extending xbox live friends list because I have a ton of good buddies who I go way back with, but their not on as often as they'd like to be. I just don't like it when I have to delete them over people who are on more often. I'd rather keep them on my friends list if possible, which would happen if they extended the friends list.

shut the **** up. you think you're clever quoting someone else? you're not.

its not that i dont have 100 friends to play with, my **** is full. i just dont see any person having MORE than 100 people they talk to regularly. I find 100 to be a good fair amount, and more than enough. If you disagree, piss off, because its my opinion. you've all spoken yours.

I don't see the need for more then 100 friends either. Using a dummy account to recieve the friends should be fine for those who, for whatever reason, need more then 100 friends. Works fine for me and even helps organise the friends I have so I know which ones play Gears, Halo or speak a different language.

I think fixing bugs and adding more features and options should be a more pressing matter.
