Completely pointless design. It would take longer to type words with this design seeing how you have to go through a whole list of symbols for just one letter. Also, the 'sentence search' feature would probably take just as long.

If they had a wheel on the side of the keyboard or touchpad somewhere, it would actually be pretty useful. Sort of like a way to call up new programs on the fly.
