OK I know I'm new here but I had an Idea and I'm not sure if it was done before...well anyway I'm gonna start now, lol. The Idea I had was to start a thread and have people ask me to make maps. well rather attempt to make maps anyway to the fullest of my ability. that idea has recently evolved in my mind, to something that could be considered a competition of sorts. it would start with 4 people willing to forge or create(Far Cry2) maps out of a select random few(if there are that many), and the most popular will be voted on until a said number of days. right now I'm looking for a group of test subjects, lol, to try this publicly open challenge. the challenge will be updated monthly the end of the week of each month to wrap up and declare the winners. also the next challenges theme will be added. right now since my halo is broken i plan to enter myself in the far cry category just to get started. anyone who wants to join just leave a message here and i will get back to you if you are chosen. after the four people are chosen the theme will also be chosen. also I encourage Far Cry 2 map makers to join since there are few in comparison to the halo forge population.
I think this belongs in either forge discussion or far cry maps discussion. but in regards to your post, are you basically saying you want a competition where people make maps and others vote for the winner? Cause i think that has been done before, sort of. The problem with this kind of competition is i doubt many people will actually download the maps and test each one out, rather they will judge all of them by the pics.
