I've been trying to delete the default objectives but every time I save/quit, they are back to their default configurations and locations. The only thing I can do is move them into a blocked off area. But if the default is recognized first it screws up the gametype cus the objective is outside the map. I can't even change their symmetry options or their team designation. I've also found this to happen on all my maps Forged or not. The only thing I can think of is to upload my map to my fileshare and have someone finish it. Any help (if possible) at all will be appreciated.
You have to have the objectives there. If you delete them, it automatically puts them in default location. Its best to just keep them all in a spot, then place them when you're ready.
will it still place them even if you hit the item limit? If so, we may have found a new way to bypass that limit
QFT. It's a rare glitch when the last objective can be permanently deleted, so use the original ones. They are included in the item limit. If you need more (like hills, go-to points), you'll have to lose something to get them in if you wait until you hit the limit. There is a writeup on how to avoid the item limit, but I strongly urge you to not use it or any other new one. The limit is there for a reason; to keep the map from overloading the system's cache (cache=cash, see what I did there?). Lag can be bad enough between players, and using an overloaded map can make a map unplayable and unfun. Especially when you take into account that homing weapons such as the plasma pistol, needler, and even the magnum lose their hit efficiency when you're not host. Throw an overloaded map into the mix and you might as well just run around giving everyone the beatdown. Don't do it.
