This is to enable the respawn traits to take effect. Then you will respawn in a room with 5 teleporters. Each teleporter is designed to spawn you as a different class. Each class gets different weapons equipment and powerups The classes are as follows Spy (Marked by Teleporter with no scenery next to it) 2 Plasma Grenades Energy Sword Radar Jammer Active Camo Sniper (Marked by camping stool) 2 Spike Grenades Sniper Rifle Battle Rifle Scout (marked by backpack) Custom Powerup (High speed lower damage resistance) No weapon only default pistol Grav Lift 2 Frag Grenades Heavy Weapons (marked by missle) Overshield Brute Shot Shotgun Machine Gun Turret 2 Frag Grenades Regenerator Pyro (marked by propane tank) Flame Thrower Assault Rifle 2 Firebomb Grenades Spartain Lazer Flare You only have 10 seconds from the time you spawn to pick up your equipment after that you will not be able to pick up further weapons. (Due to respawn settings allowing weapon pickup for 10 seconds) this prevents a scout from running around with a flame thrower or some other kind of abuse I haven't thought of yet. It's a good idea, but because of the honor system it usually isn't played fairly. I'll just stick to TF2 on the pc Also try to take screens without the HUD
I think this looks like a really great idea, being able to choose your class and the way you've labelled the teleporters. Some of the classes look unbalanced though; the Spy looks too good (until camo wears off and then he's too weak) and the Scout also looks weak. The others look fine to me. Also, what happens when 12 people play - are the weapons and powerups on instant respawn? If not then someone's going to miss out. Does each team have separate class pick-up areas? If not then I agree with Fbu that honour rules could be a problem. If they do though then it looks like you've made provisions for everything, and it could be alot of fun.
If I understand this there is no need for honor rules. The player cannot pick up weapons normally. Only on the respawn. Once the respawn time is up there is no way to pick those weapons. This is almost the same basis I had on my map, except a few changes.
The only problem I can see on the honour rules front is that if both teams share the class weapon/equipment areas, then you can be killed before you choose a class.
Each team spawns in their own spawn and has their own equip rooms... weapons respawn instantly so you can have multiple of each class. The only exception is pyro . I had to share it because there is only 1 Flame Thrower, However I put a spartan laser and AR there and some other stuff so your not really handicapped if the Flame Thrower is gone. Thats correct though there is no honor system really, its impossible to pick up weapons after 10 seconds. The only drawbacks are you must choose your class quickly and if u drop the flame thrower or machine gun turret you cannot pick them back up. This is why i tried to make the other weapons in the equip rooms decent for pyro and HWguy classes.

I edited the games and changes as follows: Custom Power Up (scout) damage: 110% raised from 100% Added a dual weildable pistol at scouts equip area. Added a needler to spy equip rooms. Its very easy to tweak this though as needed. I think giving the spy another weapon might be a good idea I just gotta think about what will work best.
Sure, I'm up for that. I'll hold off on downloading the variants and get the latest ones from you in customs sometime. Class tweaks sound good.
After debating this fact about the honor system and the single flamethrower. This seems pretty good. Though isn't the heavy weapons class just a bit weighted towards them? Suggestion, instead of the spy getting a needler give him a pistol. That evens it out and maybe recon getting more 'nades to balance out they only have 1-2 pistols, a custom powerup, and 2 plasma nades.
? The Spy gets a sword, not a needler. I'd think there would be too many pistols if that change was made anyway. Also giving a duel-wielding class more grenades is questionable. Seems to me that the current set-up Sugamayne put together is pretty good.
this is very great idea, with the map creators permission i would like to build off this map and create different classes ad so on, i would be thank full if the map creator would help, you dont have to, but it would be nice to get some ideas from the master mind behind the team fortress map.
Wow, not the most original, but definitely one of the best done. The marking of the teleporters was a great idea, dude! I also like all the checks and balances you put into to ensure against the lame-o's who decide to break all good maps. Well done, bro! Queued, son, queued.

Glad everone enjoys the map I made another one on foundary I haven't gone though the trouble of submitting it yet but its in my file share and it actually works better than the pit version. Feel free to comment about it on bungie's forum since I haven't submitted it here yet.
Your idea is fairly clever. I do have suggestions on changing the classes... Spy: Camo (Cloaking), Sword (Knife), Mualer (The Ambassador), Radar Jammer (general panic) Sniper: Beam Rifle (Sniper rifle), SMG (sub-machinegun) Scout: Custom Power-Up [Less Gravity, Infinite Ammo, Less Damage Resistance, and increased Speed] (Basic traits), Shotgun (Scattergun), Magnum (Pistol), 2 Frag Grenades (The Sandman) Heavy: Overshield (Basic traits), Machinegun Turret (Minigun), Shotgun (Shotgun), Regenorator (Sanvich) Pyro: Flamethrower (Flamethrower), 2 Firebomb grenades (Flare Gun), Shotgun (Shotgun) A remake on sandbox or foundry might be nice.
