Dude, the missile pod is awesome, especially on maps that it shouldn't rightfully be on, like construct, oh the double kills, regardless, the MP sucks on larger maps and the kills just don't feel as good, plus the rocket launcher w/tracking was sort of more boring, now if you get a long distance kill on a vehicle with it you can go "Oh, yeaaaaaaah!"
I like this part of H3 quite a bit!

I think that Buingie made the Rocket an anti-personnel weapon and the missle pod an anti-vehicle weapon. As you can see, the missle pod is really hard to hit a guy with and the rocket launcher is hard to hit the vehicle with (well not really... just some good timing).

    I like the whole rocket = anti-personnel, and mp = anti-vehicle.

However, I still wish they would bring back the hold-trigger. It felt more satisfying when you trained the trigger on the target as the crosshairs would lock in, than now when your just lumbering along with the MP and a red diamond appears in your crosshairs.

Also, because of the lack of lock-on, it makes timing banshee dodges much more difficult. Now, you hear the noise even if the MP is across the map, so you have no clue when its coming.

If you honestly needed help hitting a vehicle that wasn't a Banshee, with a rocket, you sadden me. It was nice in Halo 1, where you had to lead your rockets to hit a hog, unlike Halo 2 which added another unskilled element; Lock-On Rockets.

"but what if itz far away!!?"
Then you shouldn't be trying to shoot it anyways.

i loved the rocket launcher in halo 2, i was flabbergasted when i couldn't lock onto anything. tears started to flow, not.but still u can go fast with a rocket launcher and the missile pod is way to heavy and vulnerable

Halo 3's explosive projectiles are fun. The missile pod was an awesome edition. And there isn't much that beats watching a slow-mo clip of a missile from a pod smashing someone in the face.

I usually end up blowing up hogs with rockets anyway, but the missle pod is nice for taking out banshees, and it's fun to use on construct, because it usually is one shot one kill, and it's so close range fighting there.
