    USE THIS GAME VARIANT: Backlot CTF


    Hi Forge Hub, Its me ggrozny with another custom game.

    This one is for those that like small CTF games. Such as Tunnel Raid or my other map Decimation. Its a little bit bigger than both of those though.

    To start out there are two identical bases, both consisting of starting spawn points, 2 Battle Riffles, 2 Bubble Shields, 1 Sniper Rifle, 1 Shotgun, and 1 Machine Gun Turret, and a Flag spawn and return point right in the middle of the back of the base. Each base has the exact same set up.

    When you go to enter or leave a base you have to travel down a tunnel, after the tunnel you meet a winding hall leading to the center of the arena where both teams will meet. The center area isn't as close quarters as the rest of the map. In the middle you will find 2 Shield doors leading to a back ally area behind a box, Behind the box you will find 2 SMG, a Regenerater, and 2 spike Grenades. Right in the middle between the 2 base signs you will find 1 Plasma Grenade.

    I have spawn points start in the base, and then normal respawn points placed in the respected base and in the middle.

    The flag carrier is a little bit tougher because its a long walk back to the base.

    Interesting-looking map, deserves more recognition from the public.

    Lance your way too generous, it could have been better if it didn't look like you rushed it.

    I have added a top (roof) to the area, but you wouldn't be able to see it through screenshots so Ive left these pics up.

    It is much much different being in ground level playing it.

    Have you played it? or just think by looking at it that it looks rushed?

    What parts look like I rushed it? On the parts you think I rushed, How about some suggestions?
    I did take my time on this, not rushing it.

    Except for the randomly shooting up thingy outside of Base A, I see nothing on the map that looks rushed. The weapons looks logical, the double shield-door alley is clever for firefights, and the level design (which base is which) is clear. How is it rushed?

    And, no, I'm not really generous. I'm supportive, but if a map doesn't impress me I won't lie and say it did. =P

    The walls look wobbly, the weapons are in holders, and imo there should always bee to ways into the base so it's not a big cockblock fight. Place the items in less of a random fashion.

    I'm assuming this has nothing to do with the cod4 maps Backlot.

    The Bridges on top and standing straight up are there to cover gaps since the double open box (tunnel) is slanted there were some open spaces where I could jump out. Get INSIDE the map and you wont be able to see all of this..

    Your right in assuming that, I don't know what that is.



    I did have a problem with the map where I missed a spawn area, not knowing it was there (they are hard to see) but I have fixed it and updated the link.

    + if you saw screenshots with the roof on you would most definately say it looked rushed, but PLEASE get inside it run around in the halls then, give the feedback on what part you think is rushed and what could be fixed.


    About having two ways into the bases, that is a good idea and I will think on that for a future map, at the moment I am happy with this one. One of my favorite customs I have played is tunnel raid, which only had one entrance into each base and was still a blast, and doable.
