I was wondering, can you have an accessible Fileshare if your account is Silver? I'm asking because If I make more than six maps (can't afford PRO) then I'll need some where to put them. My plan is to create a new account, then just put my maps on it. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I hope it is, because I don't want to pick and choose which maps get to stay on Forge Hub when that day comes.

No, an Xbox Live Gold account is required to take advantage of Halo 3's file sharing capabilities.

You cant get silver and get a fileshare, but you could save up(lol) and get 750 point PRO, it only takes 20$

If you create a new account, you automatically get one month of Gold for free. You could use your fileshare on your new account for one month, but after that it becomes inaccessible. At least, I'm pretty sure you get one month of Gold...

In the UK at least, you get three 1 month free trials to activate per Xbox 360. They can only be activated by creating a new GamerTag, and when you connect to LIVE with the GamerTag it will activate the free trial, but this is good for your purposes. As Nan0teck says, you can use one or more of these trials to put maps on, but you would be unable to change the items on the fileshare after the month was up. They don't disappear though, it's just that if you delete them you can't put anything back in that slot. Therefore I'd recommend putting maps that are older, or already done and finished, since you won't be able to change them after the month is up. Then you're main GamerTag will have an empty fileshare which you can upload maps to as and when it's necessary.

The two maps you already have on FH would be a good bet to put on the new fileshare (then you just edit the links on your Forge Hub posts to match the new fileshare). If you don't want to lose all the downloads numbers, ratings and so on, then don't transfer the files to the new fileshare by uploading them from your xbox. Instead, go to Bungie.net, sign in with the new 1 month GamerTag, navigate to the fileshare of your main GamerTag, locate the maps you want to move and use the 'copy to my fileshare' option. This should keep the download numbers and ratings as well as the author the same.

Well I only have one map on Forge Hub, and it was recently taken down. The other map I'm working on is in testing, and it's a polished version of the other map I made. I do have another map I'm making, but it won't be done for awhile.

I have a silver account that I dump all the Forge Hub maps on. With silver you have the ability to download but you cannot put things on your fileshare.

You can only add Maps, Pics, gametypes, and videos to a Gold acount but you can still download them once it goes silver.

Yes, but it has Bungie Pro. So they're still able to use their fileshare. 'Nuff said.
