This is were the elavater takes you to (the sniper tower). To exit you can take the elavater or walk into the telaporter. Once you go through the telaporter this is were it takes you.Behind the fence walls there is a sniper and a mauler. This is the view of the base infront of it with the shotgun spawn and the walk way. This is the stairs next to the base that are geomerged in the wall and the wall is goemerged too but in the ground. This is a fence box that is merged through the wall and the ground creating a barrier from the right side to the left side. This map took two weeks to make the elavater and the bases. I like it, but it is a little sloppy, a few things need to be made straighter. Other than that, its got a nice layout and looks like it will play well.
I can definately tell that a LOT of effort was put into this map. The dreaded geomerging is everywhere, and pretty much everything is interlocked. The elevator switch must have taken a lot of effort too. However, most of my criticism of this map can be summed up in one concern: sloppiness. I know you guys probably spent forever building and interlocking everything, but most of it isn't straight. There are crooked walls abound, and nearly nothing is lined up perfectly. It helps if you use double walls or fence walls or something as a marker or brace when you're lining up your interlocks; it can make sure that everything ends up in a straight line. It also helps to use weapon holders to mark where the corners of your objects you're placing should be. I strongly encourage you to make a V2, trying to straighten everything up. I'd also recommend deleting one of the snipers in the sniper tower, two of them up there is kinda overkill. Additionally, the elevator is awesome and all, but I really think there needs to be multiple paths up to said tower. Also, there are WAAAY too many power weapons. A bucket of snipers and shottys is fun, but balance them out with more conventional weapons like BRs, Assault Rifles and SMGs and your map will flow a lot better. As a final note, try to keep power weapons out of the area they excel in. For example: snipers in sniper towers, or the shotgun behind a shield door. They can become overpowering FAST. I know I'm probably sounding really harsh and all, but this really is a pretty good map. A little more work and it can be a really good map =) 3/5
The technique looks quite sloppy. I do not know how effective or for that matter fun the game play is, but the aesthetics are a turn-off. If you want downloads, be sure to execute your map with optimal precision and performance. The map looks sloppy but unique. Good ideas (that's half of the work). The other half is making it as clean as possible. good job.
not too bad I guess. A little sloppy (as youve heard before) but I love the geomerged fence box in the hallway. Id give it a 4/5 being generous. (if anyone could message me and tell me how to post a map that would be great, cuz Im borderline retarted and I dont know how)
looks like so much fun i like the idea you definetly execute ur ides better then mine but the way it was done was not so good, try making a v2 with everything straight it will make a huge diference
^Lol Thats my new sig thanks^ Onto the map as stated before this is very sloppy in some places, while in others it looks amazing. I can tell you really didn't have a plan before you made this. Next time try drawing out ur map before. Your weapon placement is very poor, try not putting weapons everywhere and maybe cut down on the power weapons 3.5/5
Really good map but it looks sloppy... sorry if i'm wrong but I also noticed that you said you put a sniper and a mauler together maybe that would work out with the map but that doesnt really seem good weapon placement to me.Anyways I guess i'll DL and check it out if you ever make a V2 try to use good weapon placement though
From the pics, it looks alot like you edited from a previously built map. Becasue some parts are very well made, and some other parts are lacking serious quality. like with the geomerging. The fence box/wall was perfectly placed in there, while the stairs are poorly thrown in there. The map itself is so/so so like a 3.5/5 for me.
I remember that exact elevator from a map I looked at recently. It also had a scenery trap. Is that where you got the elevator? What was the map's name? PM me if you know please. I would say something to be helpful with the map, but everything has already been said: sloppiness, weapon placement, etc.
I always like switch maps or maps that have some sort of gimmick. This map has a lot of potential, and a good gimmick, but unfortunately the aesthetics and weapon placement leave something to be desired. Take some more time to tweak the map and clean it up, then come back when it's finished, and I can almost guarantee you'll have a 4.5/5 on your hands at the very least. Keep it up though, and don't get discouraged!
