So I was thinking about trading in some of my games that i never play anymore to gamestop Halo 1 - only bought it for the story Halo 2 - same as 1, halo 3's multiplayer pwns 2's also Turok - so mad that i got this Marvel/Forza - came w/ my xbox and i never play it Possibly Skate - got all the achievements and #2 is coming out... Anyone know what they typically give you for trade ins? Furthermore, if anyone knows, what do you think i would get for those 4 games (rough estimate is fine). I'm just wondering if it's worth doing or not.
Rather then selling to Game Stop, try to squeeze a few more bucks out on Ebay, or a friend. Or maybe just keep them, until like 50 years from now when maybe they'll be some collectibles or something of the sort.
Sports games you will get gaa gaa for and pretty much old games from the original xbox you get gaa gaa for. Gamestop.com should have trade in prices. Also another alternative is to go to gamefly.com and trade them in. You might need to have an account with them. I am not sure. Check it out.
If you have a GameStop "edge card" (15 bucks) you can get some good deals. For those games you probably won't get much, but it's still better than them taking up shelf space.
It gives you 10% more on trade-in CREDIT (not cash) and it comes with a free subscription to GameInformer, and they'll occasionally send you coupons. It's good for a year.
its not worth it at all there major rip off's. oh and get this, they offered me 10 censt for the burger king cart racer game lol
lol gamestop.... I can go on about Gamestop and their trade ins but I'd rather not. One time I tried asking an employee what can I get for my Guitar Hero One PS2 Guitar. His response----nothing.
it's much better if you can sell games to a friend, i had a game that would have gotten me 5 dollars at gamestop, but my friend bought it for 20. thats a 400% increase. or you could keep the games, but just don't sell them to a gamestore unless you can get at least half back.
It all depends on how much you're attached to the games, if you rarely play them and don't really care how much get as long as you get that new game you wanted then I would trade them in for sure. Just remember, older the game is or the crappier it is, the less you'll get. I would also go for store credit if you have the choice between that and cash, you'll get more, if Gamestop is like its Canadian counterpart EB Games, which I'm pretty sure it is.
Yeah Gamestop and EB Games are owned by the same company. So I'm pretty sure they both do the credit or cash thing. I haven't been there in a while.
