Colossus Created by: africanBoi (roYalgrenad3hoR) and TOOFGIB Colossus is a small asymmetric map great for two teams made up of 2-4 players. Colossus is set up for every game type allowing for a wide verity of play conditions. Colossus contains two small garage type basses housing mongooses and an small verity of weapons (BR, Sniper, Brute Shot, Turret, etc..). Defensive Base("Garage"): Attackers Base("Outpost"): Each base features a unique route into the larger "Tower." The Tower is a 3 story building which is complete open on the inside. The Defenders have a direct route into the base via the second floor as do the attackers. However, the attackers may also enter through the "Main Entrance" located on ground level. The Tower houses small vent on the third story, an assortment of equipment and a Spartan laser on the second story well within the grasp of both teams from the start. However teams may want to focus some attention towards smaller, but highly lucrative "Castle." The Castle houses crucial territory containing vantage points on most of the map as well as containing the Shotgun. But perhaps the greatest focus in the map is the bridge connecting the Tower to the Castle. Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, it's a rocket! Or as I like to call it "Baxter." (I like poetry, a glass of Scotch, oh and my good friend Baxter here...) When you download the map please send some feedback. This is the first version of the map and I’m sure there will be some bugs. Please if you have any suggestions about weapon placement or anything for that matter, please let me know I'm all ears. Also this is my first post and will gladly take suggestions to enhance my future posts. Thanks for downloading, hope you enjoy! -africanBoi P.S. I know you can get out of the map, that’s not my concern. For those who like to cheat there's nothing to gain from escaping this map…
the map looks really good to me for assault or capture the flag or something like that! the bases look pretty straight and clean and cool and i keep saying and and i think this is a good map! nice job! oh and i think the weapon placement is great
i like it its open but its not to open you know like the sniper and rockets can get kills easily i didnt see a ghost in any pics but i think that it would do good on this map
The layout is intriguing, and has a very Halo 2 feel to it almost mini-terminal-esque. I dig asymmetric maps, so I'm gonna have to check this one out. I'll be back with more comments after I've ran around it a bit.
This map is very unique! You don't see maps with this much thought and creativity as much anymore! The pictures are very nice, so I'll definatley DL this! 5/5 on the layout.
It does remind me of terminal. This looks like a greatly forged map. One thing I noticed is there is no picture for one corner of the map. (The corner where you are taking the pictures from). Once I get my xbox back im going to download this.
Needs some more cover outside because its too open outside the buildings. Other than that the buildings look good and has good weapon layout except that the trip mine is too close to the br. Good job! 3.9/5
Colossus Review This is a very good post, especially for a first one, but some of the interlocking seems like it could be a little better. In the last two pics the interlocking is fine but in places like the "Outpost" you could of used some more. But gameplay comes first and it looks like alot of fun. 8/10
i Like the layout but the thing that would of made the map look better is if you flipped the boxs upside down. The map is clean but if you would of done that it would be cleaner but good job!
Thanks for the comments so far, i was kind of surprised that every one is reminded of terminal from this map. I am currently working on some changes and a v2 will be around eventually. Still as always I'm open for suggestions. -africanBoi
