Go Here Now To See Tons Of Screen Shots Of The Two New Maps! Ok so I just noticed that bungie.net had an article new today where they posted tons of screen shots from the two new maps from the Mythic Map Pack, Assembly and Orbital. This is very exciting news. Orbital looks like it may actually be great for forge and especially building race maps. Assembly looks pretty good to, and I know for a fact it is a great map because I played it multiple times at the Bungie booth at PAX during the summer. As for forge, however, i'm not sure how good this map will be, it seems like it could have a lot of vertical room.
I really can't wait for the new maps, especially sandbox. It's going to bring so many people back into forge. The other two maps look great too and exciting. I agree with you Ring about it being nice to have the vertical building abilities of sandbox, that'll be cool.
This thread is very awesome. lots of info but you cant take credit for typing this as you copy/pasted all or most of it becasuse if you look at the beginning of some of the paragraphs for each map theres a [#] The # being 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. that^ is just one of them also, I am NOT trying to be an ass. just making sure hes not trying to take credit for typing this is all.
This is one pic from many shown in the update posted several hours ago. It's a very non linear map which isn't usually found in campaign. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have an early sneak peak at a new multiplayer map. =)
super smexy. If that is a new multiplayer map im definitely looking foward to it. You played it at PAX, nice! Do you think it will work well for MLG. The arena style maps usually work well but im just wondering what you think
I thought that picture may have been of a new map but I don't think we should get our hopes up. The thing that made me doubt its a new map is you can see an ODST in the doorway. It does look like it would be a cool multiplayer map, though! (Goes to Forge)
No. Look at the watermark in the bottom left. It reads: Halo 3: ODST. That picture you brought here was concept art for the new Halo game, not a new multiplayer map.
