Ok, so this is my first post. i kind of stopped playing halo for most of this year and just recently started forging again a month or so ago. i want to start by saying WOW!!!!! my hat is off to you fine people in this forge community. i thought i had learned all the little tricks of the trade and had been working on some of my best maps ever... one night on here and i felt put to shame as my eyes were opened to the wonderful world of merging, interlocking and the infinite money glitch. the things I've seen just checking out screen shots and from downloading a few were just amazing. the attention to detail and surface really got me. i look forward to having the chance to forge with real forgers and nubs who don't know the first thing about making a map. thank you.

well now that I've had my little moment I'll get back to my post. i recently felt i had a break through and was finally finding some good ideas, on standoff. and was curious what the forge hub might have to offer in that category? is there any nice standoff forges floating around here that people have enjoyed? i only have heroic content so when i finally was able to get out of foundry for a bit i was pretty excited. i feel so restricted in that little warehouse, ya know?

First off, glad to have you, I hope you continue to grow and start putting out some god content. :)

I'd recommend joining the testers guild to get some custom games in with active members of the community, which will also help you by exposing you to lots of map critiquing - thinking about what needs to be done to improve other's maps you play.

Once you have that down, get a hold of sketchup and design your maps before forging. Forge is slow and clunky. It's faster and better to design before even thinking about loading up that lobby. Maybe give it a go, then take your maps to the testers guild and finally the review hub.

Anyway, enough of that. Here's one example of a map on Standoff, although there are a few. This one is Solaris, by Furious D 18, and it's a featured map here. It uses the outside of Standoff to take advantage of the delayed death floor and makes for some pretty interesting gameplay. Check it out.

    Good luck!

You could also try Duck Hunt if you enjoy mini-games. It is tons of fun with a large party.

Here's another good one: Jenga Tower

This one looks promising but I haven't gotten to try it out: Tofurkey Shoot

Both of these are minigames, btw. Same with Duck Hunt. Solaris is a competitive map.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this one yet. Squidhands made a really fun Conquest map on Standoff called Concussion.
