CQC Eruption By xcid77ux CQC Eruption is the second map in the Close Quarters Combat series. Eruption can support 4 teams, but due to the size of the map, the number of players per team should be no greater than 3 or ,if just playing with 2 teams, should be no more than 5. Update: Flamethrower removed. 3 Shotguns removed. Needlers replace the shotguns. 4 shotgns and a flamethrower look like a little much for a map this small. Do the pics show the entire map? If they do, you need to make it 1 shotgun at most. It also appears as if you could get out with some grenade work on those barriers.
I tried all i could to move them, but i couldnt. As for the shotguns, I know, but they all only have one clip.
Maybe you should make a v2 with 1 shotgun in the middle, or something like that. If every side has a shotgun, then one guy only has to pick up one, and get the ammo from the others.
looks well made, but and despite the size, the 4 shotguns shouldn't be much of a problem. some people can't use the shotgun to save their life, shooting at a target for 25 feet away while the target is backing up shotting them with a BR or dual SMGs. the flamethrower, however, may be kind of cheap. i hope it has a long respawn time. team games may not be very fun because of the size, but whatever. 4.5/5. keep it up!
well, it certainly looks like you put it together well, the shotguns and flamethrowers seem like a little much though, and the # of players you posted it supports seems like a little much too. 4.2/5 from me
This map actually looks fairly good. And with the small amount of people playing Halo 3 on my friend's list, this fits the bill for party size. Though I don't know how well the dynamics flow with 4 shotguns.
hey i think i remember another map you posted here a couple days ago i liked it this one looks just as good if not better there is one thing thats kinda bothering me though the barriers you have acting as walls some one might destroy them or knock them over and get out of your map ill have to test it
this is terible map. It has a very old design and far to many power weapons.you recomended far to many people to play this map.Its suited for 6 people at the most.If this took you more that 30 minetes to make I'll be shocked.did you even test this? If you did your testers were loopy to say it was even half decent.1/10
Wow, someones expectations are high. If someone could remake this in 30 mins, I'd be shocked. I don't even see how that would be possible. As for the deisign, even if it is old, I don't care what you think about it. I like it, my friends like it, and that's all I care about. Thank You.
its way too small for any party size really, spawn killing would be a huge issue that would kill the map, otherwise its not that bad, its forged pretty well
Thats the whole point to f the map smart one. Read next time. I think that this has a really nice interlocking thus the fact that the aesthetics are amazing nice job
The point of this map IS CLOSE QUARTERS not "conservative power weapons and far away Br-ing. This map is made to Be hectic. for everyone to get spawn killed and such, but i would suggest maybe making everyone spawn with 150 damage resistance or overshield, to make the lives last longer. maybe even a sniper or two to add a little long range-ish pizzaz. or at least like an overshield for the first 10 seconds after they spawn. Overall, a bit cramped, but high ceilings and good interlocking make up for that. 4.5/5 great addition to your CQC collection. as for improvements, maybe instead of having those barricades horizontally, you could make them into pillars with 2 each. happy forging and stop the flaming. use constructive criticism
Arg...apparently I have to put more emphasism on the "you" part. I don't care what some hardcore forger who has no life thinks. I only posted it here for the average player to play on. So, also considering that this is only my second map, why don't you go somewhere else and post your A hole messages. Oh, and have a nice day. [/sarcasm] Also, I apologize for flaming.
I have plenty of a life and I'mm far from a hardcore forger.Dont think its only you,I put everyone on the same level as you.I compare peoples maps to what the stadard bar of this place should be,not what it is.This is where interlocking, geomerging, the unlimited budget glich, and every other thing that makes a good forge map better.Im not being a a hole Im being a hard critic. How do you think the best maps are made?If every one (not saying anyone here has,its your opinion) says the map is perfect the creater wont bother to learn to forge better,he'll just keep at the level he's at.
Yeah calm down geez. There's nothing wrong with using this layout and it is not THAT overused because it's always improving. If he made a V2 for instance, he could use the same layout but make it better. What is a little bit overused is probably the big pillar with a space inside and the blue barrier doors sorrounding it. This map looks fine, and the only issue I have with it is the weapons and probably those barriers because it makes it look a little escapable. But the bbig explosion pit in the middle was a nice touch. EDIT:4/5
OK, I just did a play-through with a friend. Here's the basic lowdown: The map is perfect for parties of 2-4 or games with about 3 teams consisting of 2 players each. The shotguns are not a problem and actually help with the flow of the map, as well as the flamethrower. Just look at some Halo 1 and Halo 2 maps.. many of them had 3+ shotguns or 4+ sniper rifles. They flowed well and so does this map. The only real problems I found are that it is easily escapable via the barriers blocking the holes in the map. Patch those up with some weapon holders and you should be in business. I'd like to hand it out to the map's maker for making this map more than it appears to be. I rate this map a solid 4.75/5. Keep up the good work!
True about the Halo 1&2 maps. But I just don't see a way the spawing person could have a chance against someone with a shotgun in such a small map.
It should be easy to avoid if you have no more than 4 people in a free-for-all. As I was exploring this map in Forge, I noticed that there are A LOT of spawn points. Emphasis on the "a lot". But I could be wrong. I only tested this map out with 3 other people..
