For some reason whenever I try to geo-merge on Foundry my boxes never go in/down straight. They are always slanted; so I am just asking for some help or advice on how to stop this from happening.
I'm going to go with the most obvious answer.. Are you putting supports around the box? Putting teleporters around the box prevents it from moving when you geo-merge.
If you haven't already, try reading this: Advanced Merging Techniques Or watching this: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=RSAEpNYImbQ&feature=PlayList&p=3C90E843F896453C&index=0 They've proved to be extremely helpful.
if you are already bracing it with teleporters the only other thing i can say, you are probably holding on to your box too long and allowing it to glitch around too much. if you have not already gotten this from that video. my advice is to grab as close to the center or the tear drop as possible. then just grab and let got after about 2 seconds or if you want to go the safer route grab, save and quit. your box should be perfectly level at this point.
Put braces around the wanted object. Put reciever nodes at the corners of it. Place doors eithers sideways or upside down on top Grab the object, and without letting go, save and quit and restart. It should be straight.
Well Geo-merging without doors has been proven a very nifty, and useful tutorial. If you're using doors, are your doors centered on the box?
It's just because you're not saving and quitting... Grab the object, wait a second or two, save as a new map, and end the game. Works every time.
