In my post about Infiltrate and SnipeFlag, I wrote down a specific set of steps for effects to achieve some very good looking action shots. I enjoy making these, and if you would like me to make some for your map post, please either just recommend me a game film or link me all of the raw, un-edited screenshots, and I should have them fairly quickly. Not a whole lot is done: mainly saturation, contrast, shadows and highlights are edited, then there is a vertical color mask effect, and it is cropped to 500 px by 200 px with a 1 px black border. Here are some examples. Kentucky Tango v2 by Cosmic Rick: Gridlocked (Non-MM) by Draw the Line: - Nevz
I have to say, when I first found saw this effect on a map post, I loved it - looks great. I'll subscribe to this thread and hopefully, one day i'll ask for your help on it. Thats when I have the time to finish making a map...
Thanks Hazza. I have a different (slightly) template for those who dislike the vertical color fade. This one just has a circular gradient over the outside which is a bit less overpowering. (Games from my map in progress, Frontlines)
Thanks Novak. Now you have some experience with the actual game too but I do like the circular border better.
Wow you are truly amazing with this kind of stuff. I wish you could turn my map sanskrit v2 thread, into something like that. Nice job
Those pictures are brilliant, definately put the maps in good light when you look at them. I'll keep this in mind, you're a lot better at photoshop/whatever program you use than I am.
Haha, maybe a bad experience though... last one left on my team everytime, getting triple teamed with needlers and turrets, lol.
Lol, last man isn't a very highly regarded role, but it's always got to be someone. The whole thing about 300% health is an adapted trait we have from playing so much Team Gladiators - it's similar, only there is only one life per round and a single teleporter opens after 20 seconds. Much more organized. It's a bit hard to get used to playing in a game like that, but it gets more fun as you have more experience with it.
