does anyone know when or if this is going to be free? i felt some what ripped off after i payed for heroic and was somewhat let down especially with ratsnest which was just a bad map and standoff which left much to be desired (not enough forging tools). plus it was kind of lame that not too long after buying it they released it for free. so i have hesitated on getting legendary, for fear i will be let down once more. or possibly buy something that will be free in a month again. i've been really eager to check out what i could do on black out or even the other maps for that matter, but again i have a slight fear i might end up where im at on standoff with tons of potential and no materials. so yea again just wanted to see if anyone knew when or if these will be free anytime soon? and do you think it would be worth it to just break down and buy them?
Bungie had poked at this one recently, for this exact talk has been a topic of discussion, no; they have no plans of making it free.
You just missed it being on sale for cheaper. Bungie has nothing to do with the price, so chances are it won't be free any time in the near future.
i guess the question has been answered, but ya in conclusion i dont think that the legendary map pack will be free, nor bungie has plans of ever making it free. I actually like it that way because i spent money for the map pack and I dont like seeing people get something i spend money for, for free.
Yea i know how you feel. i think it's pretty gay that i payed for the heroic map pack and anyone who waited couple months got it for free... but my other question still has not been answered is legendary worth buying? how are the forge capabilities? are they more like foundry or more like standoff or rats nest? where they don't really give you jack to work with.
Well i doubt it will become free but i really recommend the legendary map pack for forge it's great with avalanche.
I have to agree with you there Joe. I got Xbox Live in February and had o clue about Microsoft points. At that time, the Heroic Map Pack was out.I was mainly looking forward to be playing on Standoff. When it became free in March. I was like wooh! Yay! It took about an hour to download and I played on all the maps. Standoff was first, then Foundry and Rat's Nest. I was;'nt too excited about Rat's Nest seeing as I had already played on the map with 4 player split screen with my friends before. I was let down by Standoff, but I was amazed by what you could with Foundry. I started to build (Crappy) maps, mainly for Infection as everyone back then loved it. The Heroic Map Pack is'nt all that great, I prefer the Legendary because of the Filters that are availible for it. I love Ghost Town, then Avalanche and last Blackout. Heroic map pack is crap. Legendary Map Pack is much better.
