I didn't know about the first geomerging way you metioned. I'll have to start using that in my maps. I always mess up the door technique, and now I know how to geomerge on avalanche. Thanks man.
sad face... I have been making a map for the past 3 months, (taking so long, because I can only play for about 45min after school, until my mom gets home... I'm grounded and borrowing a friends pattle) and it includes many interesting things... elevator and such...I've been to this page a couple times now, and i guess I'm finally asking for help. I get to the point when I want to geo merge an object, and here I go, put the double box on of another, and to the regular merging so that I'm ready to lower the other box into to ground. The box seems to go down, but then raises up, into the box on top, and I even do the save quit thing... so much, that there's a sagnificant altitude change... It makes my map look all crummy, when infact, its a very good game idea. Any help here? __________________________________ || | _______________________________ | ||___ |------------HELP PLEASE------------| ||__\_\___ | _______________________________ | ||__|____| (@)(@)----------------------/ (@)(@)---------(@)
Help? I CAN do geomerging in a way (Pushing them into geometry walls) but I'm confused about pushing the objects into the ground. Also, sometimes my geomerged objects are a little bit sideways.
what object can you use on sandbox to push the blocks in the ground? like in foundry the door is used and in avalanche the energy blocker, what about on sandbox what can we use
Yea, i still don't know how to geomerge on Sandbox. Anyone want to be so kind as to help me out here with pics, description, or a video
Ask and you shall receive. This box took me just about 3 minutes.. just now. PLACE THE ITEM (Obviously) MAKE SAID ITEM NOT SPAWN AT START. PLACE 'LOWER' ITEMS IN ITS PLACE. PLACE LARGE ITEM ON TOP. DELETE 2 LOWER ITEMS. FORCE SPAWN BOTTOM ITEM. DE-SPAWN TOP ITEM. BRACE LOWER ITEM (tele nodes work best). FORCE SPAWN LARGE TOP ITEM. GRAB AND LET GO OF BOTTOM ITEM. GRAB/LET GO ADJUST TIL ITS EVEN. DELETE TOP ITEM AND BRACES. VOILA!
Just a question. What about on Sandbox? I use Sandbox the most, and I don't know any object like that shield wall. Got an idea, lemme know.
I really dont like the meathod for sandbox, its very unreliable, especially when merging in the sand. Are there any more reliable meathods that keep the merging straight without it going on a weird angle or falling through the floor?
Cool guide...but does it work the same for the dunes? It would be really helpful if you could make one demestrating that.......Please
agreed 95% of the time that I geomerge items into the dunes they end up croocked or wont even go into them, though that guide will definatly improve my geomerging on flat ground.
use more supports double blocks are the best besides that it just takes practice plus the dunes are actually just made of many flat panels
