New Mythic Map Pack Info

I cannot wait for sandbox...it shall be uber shmexy.

But do we really have to wait until march? We need a new forge map released every 6-7 months to keep things fresh.

Anyways, very nice to know Bungie isnt just sitting on their asses for the new mythic maps. I really look forward to Longshore the way you described it and especially the new plasma nade start on Heretic. Thanks for releasing this information.

One question. Wont you get in trouble for releasing this info on one of Halo's top fansite communities?

Actually they are. Why else would they be spending so much time on ODST. The maps are done and release is out of their hands so they don't care anymore. Why else would any questions they show in their updates pretty much be shut up and stop asking, you'll get them when you get them.

 

I'm so excited for this new map pack now! especially the BTB maps and the sandbox - because I'm getting tired of the endless amount of maps being created on Foundry, a new forging map would be awesome.

 

Wont the maps be down loadable before the new game? I thought they said that 3 are coming with HW:LE, then the map pack becomes available, then ODST comes out and it has the maps packaged with it. I could be wrong though.

 

3 Maps are being released with Halo Wars LE...then a week or so later they become available to download off of Xbox Live.

When Halo 3: ODST comes out, 3 more maps will then become available.

 

Bungie's gonna finish the new forge map and then one employee'll be like "hrm, I don't know, selling a big empty square seems kind of shady to me."

and then another employee'll be like "what if we set the whole thing inside a tractor factory, with a bunch of hooks with tractors attached hanging real far down?"

Then they'll all pat each other on the back for being so creative and a month later release an update apologizing for the map delay, but promising that everyone's going to be really impressed by the futuristic tractors and that the design team is really pound of how nicely the tractor design is coming along.

 

I thought exactly the same thing, but it would be a cardboard box factory making factory, so from all these hooks would be cardboard box factories.

 

i was sorta thinking they would give us a big square room with alot of objects, yet no objects with sinking properties so geomerging is a *****

 

Actually he could be right. Like what they did with Halo 2 maps, releasing them on a separate disk some time after they were all released on Xbox Live, for those that didn't have Xbox Live.

Only this time we get a campaign game as well.

 

He is right. 100% right. It has already been announced. Everything has been announced. 3 maps come with Halo Wars, the same 3 maps are released to the marketplace sometime after, then Halo 3: ODST comes out Fall 2009 with the next 3 maps of the mythic map pack.

 

I am so glad u found this i am waiting at my xbox until it comes out and there is nothing you can do about it.

 

I can't wait for Longshore! I may consider getting the Halo Wars LE as I have been waiting for the game to come out for ages and with the Mythic maps it's a bonus.

 

Just so you know, Longshore is not coming with Halo Wars LE. Sandbox, Assembly, and Orbital are coming with Halo Wars LE. It's already official.
