Well, as I am building a map for someone on here, I think that I should interlock the Double Boxes. I turn the respawn time to 180 seconds and tell it not to spawn at the start. I save, end the game, and come back in. I get to where the box is, and... :squirrel_wtf: ... it is still there! I couldn't move it at all. Nor could I delete it. Not sure what I did wrong here, but any help is appreciated.
I think that your just supposed to start a new round, but I'm not sure if that would make a difference. -opo
yes it would, for some reason, not sure why, some objects when to no spawn on start, will spawn at the begining of the forge game and cant be touched.
Start a new round, not end the game. At the beginning of forging, all the objects appear, but can't be editied until the "spawn time" is up...
It's done to show you what you have available on your map so you don't go through all the trouble of putting something in an area only to have something else spawn in 3 minutes later and screw up your process. As they said, restart the round and it will all function the way you intended.
Ya, the first time you load up a map, everything will be there, and objects that aren't supposed to spawn at the start will be there, and they cannot be grabbed or deleted. Use the start new round method, but be sure to save your changes often. One time, I was starting round after round after round, and I didn't save, and eventually I started a new round and it ended the game for some reason...
Ok, that helps. I thought you had to save and end to do this, but I guess I had the procedure messed up with floating objects (XD). Thanks for the help, guys. It definately saved me a lot of stress.
I'm a new Forger (now that Sandbox has been released), and I'm having similar problems to what has been stated above. Here are my specifics. I have two double blocks on Sandbox which are set to not appear for 30 seconds. Runtime minimum is at 0. When I start a new round, the two blocks are on the map, but un-selectable/editable. After about 30 seconds, they disappear then immediately reappear. One round out of the 23 rounds that I've tried, they behaved "correctly" and I was able to merge another object with them. I'm not sure that it matters, but I am not starting from a canvas, I'm starting from the default sandbox layout. Any help is appreciated....thanks!
