WINNER TYLYR1 CONGRATULATIONS ID STILL LIKE TO SEE YOU GUYS DOWNLOAD IT AND GIVE IT A SHOT BECAUSE I REALLY DONT THINK MOST OF YOU CAN BEAT IT Alright so this is my first map that I have made and I got the inspiration from beating many jump maps such as Dark Cloud, Evolver and Yellow Brick Road and I wanted more of a challenge so I made a jump map of my own called Pitch Black. Now with the release of this map I am issuing a challenge to everybody that the first person to legitly complete this map in under "7" minutes by January 31st 2009 and sends me the video will get their choice of either 1600 ms points or a 3 month live subscription. To complete this map legitly I have made a video in forge of me doing every jump showing one that every jump is possible and two the order they must be done in, I dont care how each jump is done but you must touch every single platform you cannot skip anything and there is one final jump at the end requiring you to jump into a teleporter if you miss the teleporter and fall past it you lose and the run will be counted as incomplete. Also Keep in mind this map was not intended to be easy by any means there are many different kinds of jumps including slide jumps late jumps angled jumps and even a couple turret jumps all of which of course are shown how to do in the video. p.s. good luck. did you save them to your desktop and then locate them iin photobucket. Make sure you are using the img link but it looks like you are. did you click on each pic on bungie from the screen that just shows all your screenshots so the pic is better. try that and their is also help on the forgehub website somewhere.
this happens to me make shure that the link your putting in the img tags is the full http:// adress, not just www. .com
Hm.. I love those jumping maps you mentioned in your post, I always suck at Blackout ones though lmao and you offered a reward for beating your map too which is cool, so I'm gunna for sure download, just one question what country do you live in? Cause' say you live in Canada or something, I don't think people from U.S.A. can get a subscription or points unless they make an alt account and lie about country. But ya for sure I'm downloading, I always love maps like these. I hope I can beat it
I'm thinking I might actually play this one. Maybe for the simple challenge of it and the reward . Although I am no good at jumps. It looks as though it could get very frustrating if you die/fall into the map. Seems like a lot of fun, I will download. Great job on trying to make this interesting and adding many different difficult jumps.
Hmm... looks pretty nice, I've played a few maps like this before, very fun to play. Unfortunately they get very frustrating because one slip and you have to start over. I think a nice checkpoint system should be implemented. Something such as a teleporter with a crate blocking it, then whacking it when you get to it opens up the checkpoint. (Have crate reset at never) I think that would make these kinds of maps have a higher replay value and much more intriguing to play because you have something to fall back on in case you make a slip at the last second. Maybe you could release a version like this that does not grant the winner to have prize?
This map looks like a nice challenging jump map and could be used for a clan trial to beat it under a matter of time i think this is a great map and i will diffidently download 5/5
Looks ok.. Jumping maps are not my thing. I will not rate the map because I did not actaully play it yet. I might DL.. I will let you know.
