Ya, this is just great... another thing to set back the prospering of video games.

 

Although H3 was the cause, I think it should be moved to a different section. Some people may click it expecting something H3 related(As in the actual game) and see this...

As for the story itself. Its honestly nothing new, people have been killed over things much smaller. Its still an evil thing to do, and under the circumstances, he is eligible for the death sentence. Needless to say, he more than likely won't receive it.

I'm speechless. I have no words to express my...my feelings for this. I don't even think I have feelings for this.

Can't wait for the media, and parental organizations to turn inflate this into a huge scandal, banning video games.

 

What people are going to have to relize is that this kid must have had some other problem other than having his Halo3 taken away. It says in the article he bought it, then his father took it away. I don't think that the game would've manipulated him in the time that he had it, and if he did have it for a while, you would have to be a moron to get that involved into it. My guess is that the kid was way stressed, screwed up, and had already had some arguements with his parents and the taking away thgame this was what pushed him over the edge. I don't think it was the game itself that did it to him.

 

You can tell that he had some arguments with his parents because it said that he snuck out to get it. Also, I'm not going to say that this always is the case, but preachers would probably have the tendancy to be more strict with what their children are exposed to.

 

The dude was 16! How can the parents baby him like that? "The game is too violent for a sixteen year old"-the parents who don't have their gun locked up. I mean that no violence **** didn't work out too well huh?

 

This is seriously just disgusting. I don't know how to describe seeing this. It really makes me give up on the human race if anyone could stoop this low. And if anyone here is seriously defending this kid, you're just as terrible of a person. I would rather die than have to hurt my family. Video games? I'd give them up before even injuring my parents on purpose. Killing is simply undescribable.

 

This is wrong. Just pure evil, you don't kill your parents because they took away your video game. I thought running away from home and killing youself was bad, but this. This is EVIL!

jk, i actually do have a soul. this is horrible. if i had killed my parents i would end up killing myself. how can he live with himself knowing what he did. PLUS he doesnt even get to play halo now, if he gets put away

Stuff like that pisses me off when you're detracting from the true bad things and instead focusing on the fact that he won't get to play Halo... I know you didn't mean anything bad by it, but it just makes me angry at the arrogance of some people...

 

damn this is messed up. First the guys what 16?You hear a buncha "tween" effers playin this"violent" game all the time. I would never even think about killing my parents over a game, they even took my 360 numerous ocbasions at months at a time. But yeah dont we see this stuff all the time but w/ GTA?

PS:wtf H3 shudve gotten a T rating not on the M rated level w/ genuine Violence/blood gore games like Bioshock and GTA. Bioshock=epic btw

 

I love that, almost the first thing in the article, it says "violent video game Halo 3." That was unnecessary seeing as how Halo 3 had almost nothing to do with it. It seems to me that no matter what game it was he was going to kill his parents. Unfortunately, people are going to take that a bit out of context.

That kid is messed up. How can you kill your own parents and want to live?
