Verbatim is a common word used in the English language. The name itself isn't copyrighted, just the brand.
Yeah, and the current user-created MM map, Anvil, has the same name as a pipe and steel manufacturer. And silence is right, it's very common. And congrats on the feature, I already think I gave my input in on the the original thread.

Great job on the feature boys, it's well deserved, and it looks like all my testing really got put to work. And I absolutely love the gameplay, especially on One Flag. Anyone who says that this sucks just because it doesn't have everything single thing geo-merged. I beg you to please just download the map, play some games on it, and come back enlightened. You just can't judge anything by it's looks if you really want to be respected. Again, congratz guys, I knew it was coming. Just had to wait for the name change.

Opinions can't be right or wrong but they can be stupid, ignorant, wise, smart, funny, etc. If you also please list a map that plays as good as this? Gameplay does make a map. Yes, the aesthetics are what entice people but its gameplay is what gets you to play it again and again and again. Take Yukon Canyon as an example, the map, in all honesty, doesn't look amazing but it sure plays amazing. I run Yukon Canyon in all my TGIFs. Now look at Temple of Atlas, sure the map may look amazing and it's extremely intriquit but you cannot deny that it doesn't play well, to say the least. Hellvetica/Verbatim is a rare gem. The creators actually put Gameplay and Design together and left Aesthetics to cry alone in the rain. Essentially, you're saying that you only enjoy playing a map, and any game for that matter, because it looks good. So, it could play like jesus but look like crap and you wouldn't enjoy it. People focus too much on Aesthetics. The aesthetics of this map are within its design. Would you be more satisfied with it if they'd made a giant spaceship and hurled weapons all over the place? Verbatim is an awesome map, whether or not they've done some crazy merges does not matter at all. Download it and play it.
Wow, I love this fight thats going on here For real Just play the map, enjoy it. If not, then don't play it. It seems kind of pointless to argue over whether you guys should play it or not ... Anyway the Map looks and plays amazing and Congrats on the feature I really do enjoy the look of the thing in the foundry base. I forgot what it was called To be completely honest, I don't think the aesthetics are THAT bad. It sounds like your making them out to be awful. Edit: I was talking about the Defender's base. I don't like the bump of the double wall ramp, but overall it i think it looks pretty cool.
And some spawn assistance by Devinish!!!! Foo's Anyways, it was great testing this bad boy, I really like the simple but utterly effective layout. It is a feature well deserved. Also, gameplay trumps aesthetics every day of the week. I still play games with terrible graphics, take Quake 3 (or Team Fortress 2) for example. There are still people who play the game religiously, because of the GAMEPLAY, not because of the pretty graphics. In fact, most good players turn the graphics DOWN to run higher framerates, and to see the enemy better, less lights and colors distracting them from the target. Let that simmer in for a bit.
This map is an epic win for gameplay, and an epic rape on aesthetics. Everyone is talkin about how this map could get put in matchmaking, but how cool would it be if it actually did. Beside "hardcore" we could have a "forgehub" listing. Team Forgehub, FFA Forgehub, 2v2 Forgehub, Oh the possiblilitys...
This is a good map but I do not believe it deserves a ft. some of the goemerg is off and its not all that special
Gameplay > crazy geomerges made to perfection. Go back and read some of the thread. I am sick of people claiming this shouldn't be featured because a geomerge is a tick off. Get a clue people, this is the last time I defend this. After this I will just consider you a noob who cares not for balance and gameplay, but rather how cool it looks, which is sad. I love you.
Man, I gotta tell you, this map look like you didn't detail it at all in my opinion. I mean, I haven't played it or anything, nor did I read the description... really, the only thing I have done was look at the pictures anally so that I could find maybe something wrong with it and thus further my argument to prove that the Staff are biased and only feature their own maps and don't care about the community at all. But yeah, aside from all that it's my opinion that it's pretty sloppy. And as we all know, sloppy geomerges and interlocks make a map automatically bad. ~ Domi
this map is for sure amazing. Maps like this, reflex, gridstone, they inspire me and give me map ideas. the interlocking and geomerging is clean. And i like the athestics. I cant describe what parts of the map i like most because they all look good. nice job guys 5/5 Myshotsakill,
Aesthetics are nice but i never realized people thought they were everything. I will admit when i saw the stacked single boxes i was a little apalled but when you play on a map you come there to PLAY. Epitaph looks pretty cool but plays terrible so many people don't like it. I personally hate cold storage while its one of the better looking maps. I can tell this did deserve a feature and i haven't gotten a party together yet. If you think there are more worthy maps then why don't you say so in the "want to see a map featured" thread. That's why it's there. On another note. Matchmaking? It's about time bungie wised up enough to use some of the good maps flowing from these forums. I just can't wait until the day i get on halo and find user made matchmaking. Wow isn't that a thought.
Dang sorry the gameplay review took so long. I didn't get enough people to play for a while and I've been making my new map. Anyway, it worked out pretty well I'm not gonna lie - One flag seemed to work out the best and Team Slayer wasn't too far behind. The upsides to the map are limitless. The only downsides that it had to me were the teleporter (which no one really used anyway) and some "glitchyness" here and there. Gameplay-wise, however, this is a masterpiece. I simply love the fact you made it so that mongooses aren't only able to be driven all around the map, they actually make a pretty tight strategy for one flag or one bomb. All around epic and as I said before the only downside with gameplay was that teleporter. I don't care too much for teleporters that put you somewhere not close enough to see if someone is coming behind you on radar. Just me though. Great job guys I'll be checkin your maps out from now on! Oh and sorry for typing a lot - like I say to everyone else, I can't help it.
Congrats to you guys! Both of you truly deserved it. When I first saw the original, I knew that this would be featured because of its superb forging and gameplay. This map gives players fun gameplay and nice aesthetics at the same time. All of the structures are amazing. Good job. BTW, is this a v2? VM me.
