If you have been on the Halo 3 forums recently, you may have seen people trying to find "The Big Easter Egg". Some posts, may have included screenshots showing what the map looks like from a ridiculous Distance.
You might have wondered how they got so far away from the boundries.
    The answer, is pan-cam.
Pan-cam is a feature put into Halo 3, that allows you to get out of the maps boundries, yet still take pictures and screenshots.
First of all, i will tell you how to turn Pan-cam on.

    Step 1- Showing the co-ordinates.

    a) Start a slayer custom game, any map, on a local connection, and it must be local, not over xbox-live.

    b) when the game starts, Press these buttons, and hold them down whilst pressing the other ones.

Left bumper, right bumper, left stick (click down), right stick, The A button, and up on the d-pad.

    hold for 3 seconds.

    c) if done correctly, a string of seemingly random numbers will appear on the screen. Well done, you have just turned on the co-ordinates.

    Step 2- Turning on Pan-cam

    a) in the same game that you turned on the co-ordinates in, hold down these buttons, same rules as before.

Left bumper, right bumper, left stick, right stick, left on the d-pad

    Hold for 3 seconds.

Now, at the end of the string of numbers, the word in brackets "normal",should have changed to "pan-cam"

Well done, you have just turned on pan-cam!

    Step 3- utilizing pan-cam

    a) now, start a forge game, still on a local connection.

b)In forge mode, fly of the edge of the map, until you die, if you are on a map without an edge, spawn some fusion coils and blow yourself up.

c)before you respawn, end the game.

    d) now, go in theatre, and watch the film of the forge game you just played.

    e) Stay attached to your character, then, at the part where you died, pause, and press Y to detatch yourself from your body.

    f) experiment gliding about, same rules of normal theatre, except right trigger is up, left trigger is down, up on the d-pad makes your cameras speed higher, down on the d-pad makes it lower.

g)Set your speed quite high, and try pushing against the invisible barriers, eventually, you should push out of them.

    h) Have fun using pan cam!

Hey man, this is a very useful tutorial. I myself know it. But you posted it in the wrong forum, you should have posted it in the Screen shot guides section. Ask a mod to move it for you.

And also, if you have the time. Maybe include picture of what to do with the steps, just to make it more organized, and easier to interpret.
