    //:Introduction://

    Hello my name is forgegod117 and this is my guide on how to enter a map for matchmaking. i will describe step by step, in unbelivable detail how you can submit your maps for matchmaking. First, let's start by learning the very basics. Maps aren't expected to show up in matchmaking until early january, but Shiska has already opened up the doors to ATLAS so that people may submit their maps. So then, what is ATLAS? ATLAS is the online community on bungie.net where you must submit your maps if they are to have any chance at being aceppted. Although your maps wont appear immediatly it gives you all the more time to prepare our maps to their full potential. I must warn you the following text is not for the faint hearted. it consists of increadibly strict rules and guidlines that will drive even the toughest forgers mad. Feeling strong, then continue.

    //:Shiska's Checklist://

    Following is a checklist that I highly suggest printing out to check off and make sure your map is ready for submission.

    [_]---No budget glitch
    [_]---Name of map is not offensive to ANYBODY
    [_]---no unfair or performance destroying features
    -instant reswpawning fusion coils
    -too many power weapons
    -bad spawns
    [_]---No maps whoose context is copyrighted.
    -Dawn of the dead
    -I am ledgend

    //:Step by step guide to submiting your map://

    1) Firstly, when posting your map it must be submitted at ATLAS so i suggest you go there and become a member. Once a member you are free to submit your map.

    2) Secondly, start a new thread and lable it your map name.

    3) Post your map just like you would at forgehub. Make sure your post is really, REALLY good cause if it doesn't look like you put time and effort into your post then they won't even look at your map.

    4) The post must include at least two videos of the map showing gameplay from two different players point of view. The video cannot be just a ownload link it must be youtube or gamvee or what not. It must be a full game.

    5) As always screenshots are necessary. If you're reading this thread then you should know to put screenshots in your post.

    6) Tell them what playlist to put your map in.

    //:Rules and Regulations://

    There are also some rules that your map must follow or it is instantly rejected. Some rules are that it cannot be on MLG or grifball playlists. Your map CAN have interlocking and geomerging. Z-fighting, when two objects fight for who is on top' is acceptable but unwanted and if it is bad enough they will not accept your map. Please tell me if you know of a way to stop Z-fighting cause I sure don't know. Obviously there can be no puzzles, sculptures, and gimmicks. cause people would be confused. Map submissions can only be on bungie.net. I think that is about it.

    //:Summary://

    Not much to say here yet, just follow the guidlines above and you should be fine. if you have any questions please use the Questions an answers below.

    No offense, I realize you are trying to be helpful, but there really isn't any point to this. All it is is the rules and guidelines rewritten.

    Step 4 in the red section is also wrong. They prefer fileshare vids, as they show all POVs, and you need three of em, all for different gametypes.

    I'd also suggest adding the Yes List.

    Or could just look at the Submission Guide

    Again, it is good that you are trying to be helpful, but it really isn't necessary.

    EDIT: You also need to mention the fact that maps cannot have custom gametypes.
