I've had this since yesterday and I've had time to mess around it for a few hours. Let me know what you think of my attempt to recreate a pretty detailed dumpster. Keep in mind I've only just started and had about 35 mins to work on this dumpster project.

(this isn't particularly a "halo 3" dumpster, just one inspired by it.... maybe? lol)

I've done quite a bit of forge sketch ups as well. I can do them in minute. :-D I'm becoming quite beastly at it I believe.

Depth in Sketchup > Depth in paint.

No really, great job. Did you get the scale right with the other Foundry objects?

No. Haha. The scale was horrible. when I brought the other one into it, I was saddened.
It was to long... But everything else was pretty good.

    Thank you by the way.

Great job, except that you need more detail. Such as bolts and screws.

Getting there bud. I just started.. I didn't do nearly any of the front yet. But thank you. I'm going to quit working on it for a bit and maybe get back to it in a day or 2.

You can actually put it the art down? I can't, I work on it two days straight if I have to. I'm afraid I'll loose the image of the art.

Anyhow, great job since you're not finished.

wow man, you are getting pretty beastly with it. i dont bother using sketchup for anything but the foundry components and map designing.

Looks really good so far, all you have to do is add all the little bolts and a texture to it.
I like the detail you added so far, nice job

    same here haha

I hate to break your will, but Foundry3D has a pretty good design of a dumpster, it may not be to scale, but I'm pretty sure Sketchup has a "resize component" thing. You should be able to resize them in no time. In fact, I'll do it.

    foundry3d - Google 3D Warehouse Search

I'll get to work on that tonight.

I know. I'm not doing it so that i have a dumpster. I'm trying to recreate one with more detail just to see if I could.

    Thanks though.
