Hello I joined forgehub just today. I like playing MLG, creating maps. I joined forgehub becuase people on halo 3 were talking about it so I just went to check it out and I joined! Well this is my third map I created. Please download it! I know I could've done better. I didn't put much effort into this map, but I will when I create MLG Legacy v3 or some other map. My friends rate this map 5/5, hope you guys do too! The picture doesn't tell much but your writing covers for it the only thing i didn't like the was the middle base you should of interlocked the boxes it would look way cool and play a lot better but overall you have a nice map.
I like what I see so far, but it needs more pictures. But like TKOwned said, it really needs to be interlocked in the middle. Also, you should think about doing the money glitch so you can add a few more weapons, or look for something that you don't need, because you could use a few more BRs and grenades, but that's just my opinion. I might have to give it a download, but I'm down to under 1MB of space on my hard drive. =\
This map looks like it has a very interesting unique layout but one thing great MLG maps have in common is that most of the map is interlocked. I dont need to refer to forging 101 because I can see in parts of your map that, well, you do know how to interlock. I would just suggest that you use it in your whole map because in the picture with the single boxes fliped upside down I can see how gameplay could be affected by wallking over it. Other than that I like the interlocking you do have in other parts of the map, looks good Great job
A decent first map post. However, do you want more FH members to notice your map? Include more pictures and add some more descriptive text. In addition, from my experience I would refrain from mentioning that you did not put much effort into your map. Your initial post should make people want to download your map. Any MLG map without this system is not complying with the official MLG maps. Many MLG maps lack this vital component of game play. Making weapons spawn a la MLG requires the forger to stack two crates on top of each other. Then place the desired weapon on top of the top crate. Wait for the weapon to settle. Then, remove the crates. Voila, your weapon will now spawn MLG style. Alternatively, you can use other objects to float the weapons [/FONT] [FONT="] An example of this is the rockets on MLG Pit. As soon as the game starts the rockets fall from crate height. When the rockets hit the floor they became active. When weapons become active the timer for there respawns starts. So if rockets become active at the time of 12:00 and they have a respawn of 2:00 minutes they will respawn at 10:00. When the rockets fall to the ground again at 10:00 they will respawn at 8:00. Take note that times may be slightly off due to the fall time of the rockets. In addition, if a player picks up a weapon before it touches the ground the weapon may have a more unpredictable respawn time.[/FONT]
It is, ok. Well done, but for the time you spent I think you could of done better. I don't know though because I am a fast but neat forger, I don't know how long it takes others. But Like I said the map is, ok. It does need a bit for geo-merging and Interlocking but it is fine. 3.5/5 Please check out my map Tectonic. It took me 2-3 hours to complete!
Ok, thanks, I did mention that I did not put alot of effort but I like being honest lol. also I did forget mention that the weapons I placed on the map did have a drop spawn. I didn't put a drop spawn on the brs, but I put a dropspawn on the power weapons, like the sniper rifle. Anyways thanks guys for commenting, and thanks for downloading! Quoted for epic truth. I realize you're new to the site, but when posting up a map, it's in good form to do a search for the name you're using to make sure no other well-known map has the same name. There's no precedent that stipulates that you can't use the same name, but Baron's Legacy is a very well-known MLG map from the pro forums and has also been posted here.
nice map good map i like the creativity and your Geo-merging it seems like MLG maps are always being symmetrical and this doesn't really feel that way u should make some more maps like this
This map is symmetrical. I just didn't show enough pictures. But the map is symmetrical, download it and see, or wait until i post up some new screenshots!
Hmm, I can't really judge the map well without an overall layout, but what I see you're a pretty good forger. Some boxes need interlocking, though. Anyway, keep forging. I can't wait to see how the map looks in forge : )
