Please read this first. I am in no way trying to negatively criticize any map in particular in this post, so don't comment on that. Ok, so I have noticed that a lot of the racing maps aren't very exciting and very well made. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few that are excellent. Racing can be very fun on a good track. Especially when live is out you can hold time trials with yourself or brother and sister to see who can complete a lap the fastest. But if there aren't good maps, then it isn't as much fun. So I've decided to make a racing map that will hopefully be very exciting and well made. Have any ideas that you've been itching to see in a track? Send me a friend request (GT smitty0018) or post it here. You can either just give me the idea or you can help me make the map, it doesn't matter. And as a little side note, maybe someone can answer this. I don't know if it's in my power, but I think it would be cool to have a little time trial competition with a reward. I'd be willing to set it up if I could get some maps and a few people to help. Just throwing some ideas out there.
Wow smitty going right at it with getting into the community aren't you well I am beginning to get very good with switches and I could maybe help make a switch on a racetrack for obsticales or something.

Because switches really haven't been in racetracks to much... There has been an elavator, sure but nothing using stuff like touch sensative switches or intense switches
What i would like to see are some obsticals, maybe dumpsters, that are in the ground, but when you drive over them they pop up. you could have pit with man canons, and then put in dumpsters with a tele node on top, and more tele nodes for when the dumpster comes up. and then when you were finishe, with the map, deleat the tele right over the dumpster and save. when you lode the map it will stay untill you get close to it. also if you do put this in and edit the map make shour not to save if the dupster has come up. hope this wasn' to confusing. -Teaco
Thanks for the suggestions guys. The only problem I have is I don't like racetracks with all that fancy shmancy stuff. For example, I don't like jumps in them because they are almost always impossible to land on your wheels. And I don't know what switch we could use because first of all, you can't pick up a custom power up or shoot. And second of all, it would be kind of hard if there is more than one person on the track.
not all switches need custom power ups you know... Look through these switches, about half of them are triggered by custom power ups...
I know that not all of them use custom power ups. I just mean that switches in racetracks don't work as well. That's just my personal opinion. I'm still at a standstill trying to think of a plan.
I can make it so that dumpsters pop up and down whenever someone drives over something as in like obstacles and stuff or I can make a few trap doors. If you need a switch just tell me and I will try and make it... or some aesthetic structure of some sort. One more thing is that I can make floated ramps and stuff pretty well, I have had some practice on this map I am making Makhaira.
I could use some help with ramps when I get an idea for the map. I can do ramps that are of the same slope, but it's hard to make them change, so I'll have to check in with you. By the way, I think I sent you a friend request.
